It’s not a coincidence that all of the players they missed on outside of Ekitike, are Premier League players. We can’t compete with the established big 6 in that aspect, we either need to spot the talents early before the big 6 do, or shop outside of the Premier League, which is a a bit tricky since Eddie Howe clearly favors PL proven players. The last point is so frustrating because all of our best signings since the takeover have been from outside the premier league! Tonali, Bruno, Isak, Botman, even Trippier despite obvious experience already.

Surely they just access Mitchell’s emails and see what players he was monitoring/ had on his list and then approach the agents and teams of those players, which they also like. I can’t believe they have had 6 months to prepare and still ballsed it up.

This is a very meh signing for me. Especially for the fee. £55m could get a world class player on the continent.

Mate is a die hard Brighton fan and even before the Chelsea link he was saying Pedro isn’t even a top 3 player at Brighton. He’s great as a second striker and creating space but isn’t really clinical himself. Don’t think he really be a miss at Brighton
