Yes the first 11-12 players are European worthy. No doubt but then there is a big drop in quality. You seem to be banking on these twelve players staying fit all season but it’s very likely we will suffer some big injuries like most teams over the course of 38 game season. Especially the way injuries are sky rocketing in top flight football. We have talent but the top 8 teams are packed with the best talent in the world. It’s insane because we all know 50+ players atleast that would improve this squad. I think EH has way over complicated it if that’s his approach and will likely come back to bite him.

They can impose all the criteria they want. The fact is the squad isn’t good enough to compete for the top 6 unless 2/3 top 6 teams drop off this year. To think there are only 4/5 players in the world who can improve the squad is batshit insane.

Is there not a striker we can sign on a free transfer or even a striker from the Championship or league 1 we can get for a few mil and low wages? I am sure many would join for low wages with an opportunity to prove themselves in the Prem. We just need a body with some experience who can play as third choice striker for the rest of the season.
