  1. Gakpo doing what AG should have been allowed to do for England.
  2. The indecisiveness I understand, it’s a tough one to commit to claiming. I don’t understand falling sideways and making yourself as small as possible.
  3. Trippier’s role for England probably sums things up for me at the minute. 1 - Push up high. 2 - Occupy space. Perfect for a switch. 3 - Get ball. 4 - ???? 5 - Ball back to the general area of the centre halves.
  4. I feel we do put a lot of responsibility onto our players to read the game and react accordingly. The issue is, it’s so much easier to collectively decide to drop off than it is to all decide to push up again. It’s why most top level clubs are micro managed to the smallest details, most players are happiest when they can follow strict instructions and if it doesn’t work, it’s on the manager. At the very least, I do believe that defensive line is left up to the players to work out, that’s why we seen Trippier and Pickford trying to get everyone 15-20 yards further forward. I think 4 players in the last 2 games have been given essentially a free role. Foden, Kane, Bellingham and Trent. Effect the game the way you see best. We are complicating things too much for ourselves. It’s a PFM thing to say I know, I’m sorry, but back to basics and I don’t mean route one. Push higher up, Bellingham as a box to box alongside Rice, Foden in the 10, Gordon and Saka driving at their full backs. We’re in a good spot, 3rd game gives us a good opportunity to go back to the drawing board.
  5. Bro ragdolled so hard he now double spaces his words.
  6. May we never, ever hold a tournament in the likes of Qatar ever again.
  7. We’ve slipped off here, second goal before half time feels very important.
  8. Just the start we needed. Good stuff. But also FUCK Southgate for playing him as a 10.
  9. I’d been thinking in the last few days we should go to a back 3 with Walker as RCB and Trent RWB. Get Trent finding the switch to Gordon. Can see the logic with the line up he’s gone with, though it wastes Foden imo.
  10. Tournament starting off far, far better than the World Cup so far.
  11. Mind, as poor as they’ve been set up, it doesn’t really help that the majority of Scotlands first touches have been to lace it off a German player.
  12. Scotlands structure all wrong, really need to swap a CB for a centre mid, zero point in that extra defender.
  13. I just don’t believe international management is where managers in the ascendancy like Howe look to go these days. id still be slightly worried if he was offered it, as its the kind of opportunity you have to take careful consideration with, but if I was Howe I’d be wondering where it would leave me if I didn’t enjoy success with the national team.

Feels like there's an all time low in terms of hype for this tournament. Hearing barely any chatter about it, could just be because of the result last week I guess, or the weather being trash, the election and the economy.. Barely seen any tacky car flags.

It's disgusting and a sad reflection of this country that it more than likely gets more clicks/sells more papers if you put Saka's picture on than Foden or Palmer.

That Kane miss makes less sense the more I watch it. Id have bet everything I own on him hitting top bin there. It’s got me proper baffled.

See that a fair bit with keepers. They see the shot late and try to get down to it. Simply has to be a save with the foot from Ramsdale, you’ve no hope of getting to it any other way.
  18. If I'm covering a song, a haunting interpretation would be the way I'd go.
