  1. I've booked up the trip to Paris on my own - £150 for flights with 2 night hostel from Manchester - no chance im getting an away end ticket so bit the bullet for £120 on one off footballticketnet in the home end, look quite legit but still loads of horror stories no idea how that will turn out but if I get fleeced then so be it! Will just end up in the pub with the rest of us for the game. Buzzing this will be my first European away day
  2. I was looking through Hearts line up the other day on flash scores and they have quite a few Ozzies in the team, I'm sure that must have been a big factor why he went If most teams we're promising him game time. Still not sure whether the club thought that would help him settle in the UK easier or whether Koul himself chose it himself or if in fact that was even a factor
  3. I was more than happy with Dubravka continuing on as first choice this season, I think hes a great keeper and has been fantastic for us, we certainly miss him when hes injured. I wasnt bothered about signing Pope but for 10mill I can understand as its a good deal. Also I understand if Dubs leaves as once your a number 2 your waiting on an injury or terrible form to get a chance. At 34 he deserves to be a no. 1 somewhere and like somebody else mentioned hes only had 4 seasons at this level, it would be a waste for him to be sat on our bench just for competition rights with Pope.

    Joelinton

Bambi on Ice in the box, Torvill and Dean in the middle of the park
  5. Still love this mad bastard. Hes defo a level above the Championship, he'd score goals in Italy, Germany and Spain no doubt.

    Joelinton

Has anybody ever seen him sprint? Like he tries to avoid getting involved in attacks by just standing in the most pointless places and then plays to safest pass possible if his first touch allows him to.
  7. To be honest if we got relegated would it even matter? we'd surely be back in the PL within 2 seasons at the least. The only loss would be ASM would definitely leave.

If you look at who youd expect to be in the mix its Norwich, Burnley, Us, Southampton, Palace, Watford, Wolves and Brentford. You could question (with Bruce as manager) if we're better than any of the others apart from Norwich. We're going to hope Wilson and ASM play 30+ games each.
  9. If we go down and sell him for 50mill to a Everton or West Ham and I'll be spewing. I hope he goes an actual decent club, he's a match winner or difference maker for any team in the world but obviously would have question marks at elite level.
  10. I'd for 4-2-3-1, I think if we're going 4 at the back be need to keep quite rigid so I'd play Murphy RW just to support the defence abit and I think he's being one of our better players. I think Almiron needs to be dropped abit but also think he'll be useful of the bench. I would quite like to see Fraser start aswell though. Also this formation seems to give us more squad depth apart from CDMs. I'd like to see this Woodman Manquillo - Lascelles/ Schar - Fernandez - Lewis/ Dummett (Only put him here as I know Bruce is a minge I would kinda of get it for 1/2 games of a system change but obvs want Lewis) Hayden - Longstaff/ Shelvey Murphy/ Fraser - Willock - ASM Wilson
  11. I really dont get the gameplan with the 5-2-1-2 or whatever it is. No midfield cause we've got Miggy who I dont even know where he plays, him and ASM just float about and cant keep up with the game as they got lost trying to track back and then getting back forward again. Hayden is the only useful one defensively but gets dragged around easily because hes got to do it all and Willock is a CAM not a CM, he trys but cant defend but also doesnt get any freedom to attack unless we actually keep a sustained attack. We cant press teams because if Hayden/Willock press then we're horribly exposed in midfield. The only thing I see is us do offensively is counter, hoof it to Wilson either in behind or for us to win a 2nd ball or win a set piece and try and maintain an attack from that. Ritchie at LB is tragic, can't keep switched on, cant get back quick enough once hes forward and can't win headers. When we've had 30 seconds of possession and realised we cant counter we can only pass it back between the our defenders because the set ups shit, we havent got any movement in midfield cause there only 2 of them so the only space and easy pass is at the back where the 3 CBs are who then get it and hoof it to Wilson.
  12. Ritchie switching off every 5 minutes in the 2nd half. Nobody at HT seemed to pick up on the fact that ASM shouldnt be picking the ball up so deep or atleast without Hayden behind him to cover. On Hayden hes never a box to box midfielder, as much as I like him hes woeful in the final 3rd. Almiron is the same old headless chicken but didnt seem to do as much pressing when we're defending. Going forward we dont seem to have much of a plan other than let ASM dribble, create some space and make a run off him and go from there, hit a ball early and got Wilson gets it or the 2nd ball, get a corner or give it the full backs and cross. Apart from keepers, Fernandez, Murphy, Hayden, Willock, ASM and Wilson none of these are prem quality. Murphy and Hayden probably arent they just work well in the system.
  13. I think this team without him and we'd be done for. Hes such a positive outlet and actually talented player in such a negative playing style that one or two dribbles from him and we gain alot of momentum and go on to score. The win/lose ratio without him is mad. We'd find it incredibly difficult to replace his ability to beat someone and get himself into the box. Even the fact he can win freekicks and corners is vital for us atm .
  14. Its mental, theyve taken this decision because most clubs voted to end the season asap. Basically every club from 8th and below would have voted to end it now, purely to prepare for next season if theyve got nothing to play for or to avoid any likely hood of relegation. Anyone with something to gain has been screwed over. Mental considering how much time and money has been invested into the season so far, most clubs top of the league will see their best players leave for bigger teams and struggle unless they are well off financially
  15. If Schar hadnt of hit that rocket then he'd of been my MOTM tonight. Won headers, won tackles, pressed well and covered the pitch. Hes never looked like having such a run of performances in him but hes been brilliant this year, he must of copied Mo's new year resolution from last year.

    Jacob Murphy

It would really do us a favour if WBA dont go up this season. Gayle or Murphy would be alot more appealing to them as a Championship club if we want to sign Rondon in the summer.

    Kenedy

Very poor today. Could get away as makeshift LB at home but not away, Huddersfield hounded him/us on the ball 1st half and left he smashing it away for the whole game.
  18. Thuvain smashed a hat trick in tonight, why isnt his thread like this

    Kenedy

I mean he's technically miles better dribbling wise than anyone we've got and I think one of our better players. Accept the criticism recently for him but people are going overboard, he's had 2 bad games in a shite team.

    Shola Ameobi

I was buzzing to see him on there. Hes a cult hero, I think in his head he thinks hes a club hero or something more than he is and tried to promote the message Rafa and Lascalles put out to get behind the team and came out with this shite. I know im trying to make excuses for the clown but I still cant hate him but whatever his point was it was fucking awful.
  21. Hes a decent enough player when the plays out wide defending or going forward but anything in our box then youll always be asking questions of him. Hes somebody who could easily be replaced and should have been, if we had any money.
  22. Leek

    Jamaal Lascelles

I can only see his price rising after this window for us. He can surely only be a standout performer again looking at what we've got.
  23. I really dont know why the majority of clubs thought it would be a good idea to shut the window before the 1st game I dont see any additional benefit from closing it 3 weeks earlier when the rest of europe still have it open
  24. It's such a weird transfer. On the face of it 6mill for him is a good deal but it's just a deal which isn't showing any sign on improvement. Utter bollocks transfer window, truly depressing.
