To be honest I think we need some semi decent English players to be in and around the 1st team,so I think the signings of Shelvey, Townsend and hopefully Austin or Berahino would help us in that sense. We've had Colback, Taylor, Dummet, Elliot and Williamson here the past couple of seasons for fucks sake, can you imagine joining Newcastle 1st day in training and having any of them giving you any advice about the club, city, league or even being bother to interact with them, all the foreign players wont give a shit about any of them.

I think hes someone who can impact and hopefully win us games, which for that reason I'd happily take him as we lack anybody like that at the moment but thats aslong as we dont over pay.
