Overrated depends on how much you think he's actually rated. He's never been and never will be anywhere near in the world's best conversation, not with anyone with sense anyway. But he's perfectly adequate for a regular league challenger and champions league last 8 kind of team. I don't think most people rate him more than that anyway.

I've never rated him at cm but he's doing a great job at rb atm and from the limited interviews I've seen seems like a decent man. Happy to have him as a versatile backup or even first choice rb if he can keep this form up. Would be interesting to see what rafa could get out of Janmaat if he gets a full season with him though.

Online is a weird beast though, I'm certain everyone has people on here they aren't that keen on but if you met in real life you'd probably get on fine.

Players do often change their positions like, just because he started getting recognition as a dm doesn't mean that's necessarily always the best place to play him. Fuck knows what his best position is, I thought he was best suited to right wing because I didn't think he had the touch or passing for cm or the same and finishing for am, but he has had his moments there and was good the other night. It makes a refreshing change to be able to just say 'I trust the manager's judgement' and not get frustrated every time a teamsheet comes out.

I find their online presence and a lot of the media stuff cringey as anything, but 99% of their fans I've known in real life have been sound, I like their manager, their current team and the way they play. I'm still slightly bitter that it was them and not us who solidified themselves as part of the famous 'big 4' in the mid 2000s though could so easily have been us.

I think the calls for girls to be punished if a rape accusation isn't proven in court to be completely absurd tbh.
