  1. Yeah at left back. He's much more solid defensively and Santon, while good on the ball, wasn't ever actually much of a danger when he got into the final third. 'Pathetic' is a bit silly.
  2. He's played the most minutes, he's obviously going to start the first game barring any newcomers.
  3. Santon has been horrific since he left. He's not class at all Aye, when Palace and Sunderland are interested you know you need to try harder. Dummett, Haidara, Colback, Anita and Gutierrez on the other hand have been class on that position since Santon left. Dummet has been at least as good as Santon.
  4. I want him to succeed spectacularly.

We did get ripped off with Townsend looking back. Was probably a necessary part of the negotiations for the initial transfer but he's great value at the price he went for. Hope he bombs. Then lives a long and successful life elsewhere.
  6. Hypothetically World Cup qf about par, second round dissappointing, group outing complete failure. It completely depends on the draw. Top the group and go out in the second round to Germany is better than second, beating a minnow then going out to an average team in the quarters.
  7. I actually really like Sissoko as a player, have defended him last season, but think it's bad form especially in the context of his previous desperation to leave. Not that it makes him a terrible person but not sure why people could think that it's fine on a public forum. He could just dm him.
  8. England are about the level of West Ham when he left in terms of European teams. We are about 10th give or take a few in Europe in terms of talent, but need someone to actually take us on. He got them up and made them solid but the next step aas beyond him. That's not what he's built a carreer out of so all the talk of his experience means nothing. It's like getting a mechanical repairs expert to actually design a completely new submarine because of his 'years of experience'.
  9. He's a dick and extremely limited but if your team was shite and your life depended on surviving relegation after barely scraping 17th the year before, letting him buy his players and play his awful football would probably be one of your best shots out of the lower managers available. Which is all completely irrelevant to the England job.
  10. And that's why it's such a bad appointment.
  11. Yeah that's fair I suppose, but even when in a comfortable position come January he hasn't got his teams anywhere. Actually for his remit think he did a decent enough job at Blackburn West Ham and Sunderland. He did what he was employed for but can't take teams any further.
  12. He's undoubtedly passionate, hence the incident with the fans last season. He's not been perfect for us but I think Rafa could really make him into something special, he'll be absolutely onto him for all the little mistakes he tends to make positioning wise. He's always been great going forward.

The job he did at Everton was fantastic, always find it bizzare when people try to find ways to drag it down. He's a good manager and knows what he's doing, how to build a team. If he fails it will be because his confidence/motivation has been damaged too much. Waited so long for a crack at a big job then it went so bad so quickly, now he's back right down probably even lower than he started with Everton. Must be hard to get yourself motivated to devote the long hours, the stress and withstand the inevitable problems when you're already a multimillionaire and could retire or go into media jobs quite easily. Maybe he's absolutely got the fire into him to prove all the pisstakers wrong though. Iirc he punched some guy giving him grief in a pub after he was fired from Man United didn't he
  14. He is good at making poor teams functional and is a safe bet for a team struggling who just wants to stay in the league by any means necessary. There's no point making out like he isn't. But for all the people elsewhere I've seen saying his style might make us hard to beat and get through the tournament - just look at his cup record. Never even got to a final as far as I'm aware, at least even Bruce and Redknapp have some that. Even Sherwood.
  15. http://www.yanksarecoming.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/hanley-21.jpg He's a solid 7. A captain - a true alpha.
  16. As long as I keep the house and the dogs; take her.
  17. 6 foot 3, in great shape, strong facial structure. Wealthy. He'd nab most your ladies tbh.
  18. He's not a particularly unattractive man imho.
  19. Shame if true because I like moyes and would have liked to have seen him do well next job somewhere.
  20. He just looks like a normal human male?
  21. He's class for the championship. No diggity.
  22. But Anita played for Ajax. Would be great for Swansea and that. Technique etc.
