I'm not suggesting that he would, but he claims to love the club.. he obviously loves his salary more. Out of principle, if I was in that position I would walk. The club has to come first. Easy to say that on a forum when you're not actually walking out of a very high salary job at the end of your career. And you wouldn't have a part if you that think you could turn it around?

So he's reportedly a decent coach. Doesn't mean he'd make a manager. Would bank on one of the much maligned 'dinosaur British managers' taking us up over him if it was my money.

There's no right formation, you look at the strenghs and weaknesses of the players and try to come up with a system. Unfortunately our squad is such a weird hodge podge of styles because we buy primarily for resale, that it isn't really perfectly suited to any gameplan. It's telling that in years gone by people have been screaming for certain formations or certain players, whereas this season no one has the slightest idea what our best team would be. Squad is a mess.

Yeah I've not seen many full games of spurs this season but I think he's probably the best current option. Think he was trying too hard to impress with the first non penalty tackle and the penalty can happen to anyone really, I'm not too worried about it. He's no peak Ashley Cole but I think he'll do for now.

This is doing my head in like, i agree to a point about Rooney. But if Vardy was the same age as Kane/Alli him starting wouldnt even be debatable. This impact sub stuff is nuts & seems to be the cliche fast player against tired legs. I also dont get this undertone in football that if you're good at a younger age its more "real" & you have more potential. What matters is whats happening right now. Vardy is a few goals off the likes of Lewandowski & Aubemayang in what was seen as a much weaker side. Yet aye, lets maybe bench the guy. It has to be his age like, must be. He's not been at the top level for as long so its not as "real" or something, maybe give him a chance off the bench. It's just the formation stopping me from saying Vardy MUST start, if we play a two it should obviously be him and Kane but I'm not sure what to do with the rest of the team. Have to confess I didn't see the Germany game so I can't really comment on how the three with Alli were or who to put around them but it sounds encouraging.
