Aye, could've been 13th by now
  2. Yeah but surely if you were hoping to cash in you'd be able to get more for someone who was playing every week than on the bench, so you'd want him starting?
  3. It was a massive, massive moment in the game, and indeed the season, and Gini blew it. Those 2 points could be huge in May, no excuses at all for that miss.
  4. Yep. Singling him out for 'He cost us the game with that miss!!!' type stuff in particular when good chances were missed by others, and he wasn't responsible for giving Ayew space to strike, doesn't really make sense.

We created enough high quality chances to win and they didn't create much that you could say they really should have scored from. Just as every win isn't due to some managerial master stroke, not every loss (or draw) means the manager was a complete chode. He can't knock it in himself. Not saying it was great stuff by any means and I would have started a different team, but 'fucking shit stupid moronic cunt go die' or whatever is a bit strong
  6. He's been away now for almost a year, and we're still going on about him?!
  7. Psg will take him and will give him some easy titles to restore his reputation and an outside crack at the CL, or if he goes to a less monied club it may well be Valencia.
  8. I don't like the man anymore but there's plenty of managers who've gone to big clubs and won a lot less, I don't buy the lucky argument.
  9. Nice. Will be a draw vs Villa for any gamblers who want to follow the oracle
  10. Keep this up and he shouldn't be dropped frankly. Nice to hear he's vocal in the dressing room too.
  11. I agree it's pointless for the likes of Manchester United etc, but for teams from the smaller nations like Poland or Sweden or wherever, I don't particularly mind them having a crack at causing an upset in the groups, then a second crack of the whip in the Europa. Otherwise the top teams from those countries wouldn't usually get a European campaign longer than the first few months of the season, and gives them some motivation to keep fielding strong teams and trying if they lose the first 3 games and obviously aren't making it through.
  12. Maybe, particularly against the bigger sides when we're under the cosh, he's asked to slow the game down a bit and just keep the ball? Not that he'd be capable of launching perfect through ball after through ball if you told him to mind.
  13. Think it'd be far more humiliating to ease up on them if anything. I'd rather be thoroughly outclassed and lose 10-0 than pitied and patronized to a mere 5-0.
  14. I don't get this though, surely even the best managers are capable of a couple of bad months? It doesn't make any sense to judge things on such a short-term basis. The season is only 15 games old and for a lot of it people were praising Swansea to the rafters. Guess fair enough if they believe they're going down and they think a short term boost is worth sacrificing their manager for. But it doesn't make it right, or logical. I think it's because it's a lot more than just bad results, some really poor performances for a while now along with very questionable decision making from Monk. Weren't the board unhappy in the summer as they wanted someone more experienced in as an assistant but he wouldn't have it? Break might do him good anyway he's aged so much recently, looks white as a ghost with huge bags under his eyes everytime you see him now. He'll come out of as being treat harsh and with a decent reputation too. Aye, has looked in interviews like he's struggling to handle it for a few weeks now. Seems a completely different man to a few months ago. If his head's completely gone, with no signs of snapping out of it extremely soon, then sadly he has to go.
  15. Today of all days showed there's more to football than lineups /formations. They all worked today and every single one has earned the right to start next week. If their application drops then bench them the next week. We need to start ingraining the importance of a high effort level pressing mentality more than anything.
  16. The English Nolan would've been worth a spot the last few weeks.
  17. Needs to keep starting for his talking alone. His fitness will improve (providing no more injuries obviously).
  18. Astounded? Astounded? By one draw and a win from 5? Astounded?
  19. Absolutely loads of money being wasted on big Liverpool wins here. Played midweek, we're at home, they're due a poor result. Madness backing a big Liverpool win heavily.
  20. Keep Oldboy a secret which isn't ruined by constant quotes/references ala Fight Club pls.
  21. I'd take the Tottenham version of him in a heartbeat but his knees are fucked and his heart doesn't seem to be in it anymore.
