How are they going to react to the PIF buying WWE news? "ah dint watch WWE anymore marra. Fuck Roman Reigns, ahm off to Pennywell club to watch Billy Morrison. He's miles better anyways marra."
  8. Just came in to see if we had news on PIF buying WWE since I'm seeing a few rumours going around the wrestling world at the moment. Not sure what to make of this yet.

Haven't we parted ways with our u21 manager and he has a youth academy. I mean, it's tenuous but it would be cool.
  10. I legit know a lad called Aaron Martins.
  11. I dislike him for going from his own team to their greatest rivals. I hate seeing that, it just shows a screaming lack of respect for the fans. I mean, I get wanting to move but there were a load of teams he could have chosen.

If we're doing commentary ones, the insistence that every neutral fan will root for the English club in whatever European competition. They really used to try and force it with manu and I remember thinking that I really didn't want them to do well. Why would I want a bunch of smug fans becoming even smugger?
  13. Is he legit injured? I had a sneaking suspicion that he wasn't playing so he didn't get injured for a January move. To us.
  14. What a shameful fucking wanker. Glad the bairn kept it.

There was this bloke called Ambrose Crowley way back when and he imported Belgian workers to work alongside his British lads in his factories in sunderland. Thing is, the mackems were apparently rather intolerant of these foreign workers and so he had to shift his base of operations to Winlaton (part of County Durham as I remember) who were much more welcoming. I'd regale you with a more in depth version, but it's been a while since I read the history. Pretty sure the book was The History of Blaydon where I read it.
  17. Every time I see this thread and where the match can be viewed, I keep thinking you need to go and rent it out on VHS like it's a sketchy Blockbuster. I know it's daft but it's just the mental picture I get with reading "Amazon Prime Video".
  18. This is certainly true at senior manager/director level. It's not so much about getting the best though, it's about the time they get found out for their ability, and if they stay on then the city loses confidence in the company and the shareprice drops and then that is aimed at them. Conversely, if they are good (or get lucky) then they still go at these times on a high and move onto new pastures.

Aye, they were when this was originally posted on here (I think) a few weeks back. I thought it wasn't wrong then and it's definitely more relevant after their draconian mod locklown on free speech.

Is Jlaws the one who was linked on here to the UK Database or was that a different RTG member?
  22. Slight deviating from the topic, but on the BBC Newcastle sports shows a few years ago they had a cricket reporter and he did my nut in. He obviously had a list of questions in front of him to ask his interviewee and he would just go through them, acknowledging the answer with a mere "uh huh", no follow up or conversational tone, and just moved to his next pre-prepared question. I'm not a massive cricket fan, but he did other sports too and was the same regardless of the subject. It sounded so dismissive and kind of ignorant and he was on for the years I used to listen without any improvement or development. I really can't remember his name though. Sorry, but reading these replies has awoken that irritation in me so wanted to vent
