I hate transfer windows. Much preferred the old days of being able to buy a player when you wanted. Since there is a window though, I think it should end on the day the season starts, certainly before any cup matches are played -or- They end it at the end of the exceedingly dull international break after only a couple of games. That way, the fans can be excited about the potential signings their clubs can make when there is nothing going on but boring England matches watching other team's players attempting to gel. I know we have England internationals now, but for a long spell it was just how can they shoehorn in manu, liverpool and chelsea's media darlings into the squad.

Why is the transfer window open after the season starts? It just seems a bit daft as it causes disruption and I'm always dubious about the character of folk who come in after the season starts, like they didn't want to be here. micheal fucking owen being key amongst them. Just my feeling though.

I really want to keep Trippier. He was our first signing out of the dark ages, he's still a very good England international, a leader and good role model for the younger lads. It's not entirely sentimentality though, Targett I hoped would be great for us and I love Miggy just for his effort and smiles but understand they'd have to leave for us to move on. Dubravka cost us a fair few points last season and whilst Frazer seemed to be the one leaking how shit bruce was Eddie doesn't trust him and he has to go. Plus all this wanting paid off to play for Southampton, he can fuck right off.

I don't understand this "bid rejected and a new bid is expected later in the week" stuff. Gutted about this. The main one can be a good host but he's done offensive lines before and refuses to accept he's done wrong (called folks "puffs" as an insult, albeit not a jab at homosexuality as such) but kicked off royally about him being asked about his Parkinsons at SJP once. Billy can get close to the knuckle without crossing the line. It's the only NUFC channel I like so I really hope they listen to themselves and improve. I think someone needs a word in the main one's shell-like because they're aiming for more mainstream recognition but you absolutely cannot go on with casual discrimination of any kind.
