Shit weekend result, shit transfer window, shit week, shit day.

They're insults for sure but I'm not sure how using either term is homophobic or misogynistic. My understanding is "karen" is about someone who is irritating and always going on about wanting the manager and going to email head office, whereas "gammon" is a term for thick racists who are easily led by laxley-lennon and farage.

Outstanding! Not to derail a thread about Matt Targett (who is a player I like), but does anyone know who was in charge of football reporting at the chronicle when Mark Douglas was there as well? Both had vaguely senior sounding titles so I couldn't work out who was whose boss. Not important in the scheme of things, I was just always curious.

Hot air balloon, like Willie Fog.

Maybe he's going to Leeds...Building Society.

The thing with ryder is he's always usually right about unpalatable news. I remember he was thoroughly enjoying telling folk that we were definitely getting steve mclaren. It's weird how he gets any info though because he is always the one journo at the press conference who Eddie has to ask to explain his question as it made no sense.

Anyone wanting to join the race to sign him wants to get their fucking skates on. If we sell players, I'd like time to actually buy someone.

Stories abound about Jamie Miley going to Harlepool (sorry for the chronicle link) https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-set-say-emotional-30879343

I'd be more hyped to see both Murphy brothers on the pitch than the Ameobis that's for sure
-
Worth bringing his brother in as cover?

Anything where things are "moving closer" or "in talks" is just bullshit. Nothing is happening, in or out. Source: gut feeling* *gut feeling is subject to change

Three day rule. Over three days since this broke and no movement? It's not happening.

The rules do seem to really do the dirty on players approaching/past 30 years old. I know it's not direct discrimination but it is affecting their potential transfers thus stifling them in favour of younger players. And even without the protected characteristic of age being brought into the question, it has a monetary consideration; they won't be as able to capitalise on a good contract, their agents won't be able to command their stupid fees (which should be paid by the player not the club, but that's another rant) which is going to cause upset and if the money isn't there then there will be almighty kick offs. It also stifles grass roots as the only way any footballer is going to be signed by a club in a higher division is if he's 18 and already a Messi regen. I don't think there shouldn't be rules in place, but ones that stop teams who want to compete so that certain teams stay at the top unchallenged is just bullshit. If your Red Cartel cuck teams don't want to compete and just make up the numbers then fine, but don't vote in rules that stop others challenging the status quo.

Run in with a chair? BUT WHO IS HE HERE FOR?!?!?

Dibling indicates the existence of a full grown Dib.

I reckon Nickson was there as a smokescreen to hide our real target.
-
Aye, I don't buy it either. Wouldn't that really fuck over the morale of the squad if you're keeping someone out of the team who is on double your wages? I don't believe the Targett or the Kelly wage claims.

Maybe PSR is for our own good as fans? Wait, wait, hear me out. We have had 15 years of drab misery crushed under the oppressive fat of that corpulent leech. We had very little to look forward to and that has seeped deep into each and every one of us. Now, if we were allowed to have a sudden burst of excitement that might be catastrophic for us. It would like be taking a shedload of molly all at once when you've been straight edge and miserable for years. The PL are being incredibly responsible. I mean, not really. They're just corrupt arseholes but it wouldn't suprise me if they came out with this as an excuse to keep us in a stranglehold whilst their darlings spend what they like.

So this Kelleher is essentially Liverpool's 3rd choice keeper (bearing in mind the keeper they have out on loan)? I can't think of a time that us signing Liverpool's 3rd choice keeper has ever been a disaster...
-
I watched those arsenal fan reactions and I have to wonder who watches these. They have nothing about them. No excitement, no passion, no insight, no personality. It's just some random dull bloke in his bedroom saying player names and then "fuck off" when it goes against them. I did see a couple of our lot and felt the same way like. But sod the negativity, that was a beautiful match to watch. I loved that!

No man u cast offs. Ever. Been burned too many times before.
-
I reckon this barely strengthening thing is a ruse. Eddie does get sly little points in press conferences that we have to compete within PSR without sounding negative about it. Eventually that will pay off as others notice. We are playing the long game with the goal of us having a better range of spending options. Obvs just my opinion. I do want to get excited about us signing a new player though so I do wish they'd hurry up

I reckon we spurge a ton of moolah on about 7 players after agreeing a £60 billion bootlace sponsorship.

Once you get to a certain level of money though, wouldn't you just do what you love? Even if it meant taking a massive paycut? I mean, it obviously depends on the individual but I know if I was a millionaire then I'd happily take a paycut to do stuff I enjoy doing because I had the means to do so. I'd be enjoying myself and easily supporting myself because of the work I'd put in previously.
