I don't hate him. I do hate pardew and carver. But I never wanted this guy and Rinaldo's early thoughts in this thread totally mirror my own.

Due a meeting and he leaves it til NOW to go? F*ck right off. You have a meeting with your MD about YOUR F*CKING FUTURE and you go asap. Not leave it til rush hour. Effing tosser.
  3. We haven't hired him yet. Typical Rafa sympathiser, have you not seen what he has done with our club? But the stats...
  4. We haven't hired him yet.
  5. Auto correct changes it to "McLaren" and for me personally, it depends whether I'm in the mood or not to change it.
  6. Erm... I was wondering if he was joking. Does he realise? Realise what? I'm wondering too. I don't visit the bookies but isn't 4-1 an 20% chance of winning, whereas 6-4 is a 40% chance? £250 on a market like that will massively change the odds. I have seen manager odds change from 50/1 to 5/1 with a couple of hundred staked on it. Basically, you are the main reason he went from 4/1 to 6/4. EDIT: You and the others in here. Ahhhhh!, Cheers. I was looking for his maths to be wrong or something. That explains it.

Just sack him FFS. I can wait a bit longer to hear about a replacement, just announce his removal.

You know as well as I, the next question will be "source?"
  11. This looks like the b*stard love child of Rafa and charnley.

 A Champions League winning manager who has managed some of the worlds biggest clubs or Sam Allardyce. Worth noting that Real don't look any more impressive under Zidane as they did Rafa, he was very harshly treated there... Exactly what I'm saying. Look at their forum and then compare with this one. We're clearly far more reasonable, level headed people. We could bring in Guardiola with Mourinho as his number 2 and they'd still say Allardyce is a better option and actually believe it. Bunch of wierdos. Alas, this is also true. But bar the odd sensible poster (who will inevitably get shouted down for being a "mag"), RTG is the very worst of their fanbase surely? I haven't seen any other sites for their club and I only knew about RTG because of here. This board is exceptionally reasonable and balanced which is why I joined. None of the other NUFC boards I read were unreasonable either (just nowhere near as good in terms of layout, insight etc) but I reckon we must have a board of nutters somewhere? If we must compare boards like for like, we cant compare the most sensible of NUFC boards with the most extreme of their boards. ++obviously if there are no more rational safc boards and there are no RTG-like NUFC boards then this point becomes, well, pointless. It's a perfect comparison. RTG is their most popular fans forum and Newcastle online is Newcastles most popular forum. Surprising there's a lot of people wading in with excuses for them tbh. Oh, I'm not wading in with excuses, just asking questions to ensure a balanced picture. If both are the most popular for each team then your comparison between the forums holds merit. If we didn't ask questions then we wouldn't be the reasonable board we are, we would be the black and white version of RTG, which we both agree we certainly are not (and do not want to be).

But he'd still have to do a press conference at some point and the questions would remain.

Board Meeting at NUFC LC: we need to look at possible new managers. BM: I agree LC: although Steve has been tremendous BM: I agree LC: but it's my neck on the line too BM: I agree LC: So he has to go BM: I agree LC: Doesn't he? Or not? Erm...Graeme, do you have any recommendations? GC: How about we stick with Steve? BM:I agree LC: That is definitely an option. Any other suggestions though? GC: There are other managers out of work, what about Joe Kinnear, Lawrie Sanchez, David O'Leary, Paul Ince? BM: I agree LC: OK, definitely on the radar. The press and public seem to mention names like Rodgers, Moyes and Benitez. What about them? GM: Ooooooh, I wouldn't go for them. LC: Why not? GM: I don't have their phone numbers LC: F*ck! know anyone who does? SM: I do

Ive just had a quick look at it and clicked on 5 random people on there supporting him and having a go at the victim and 4 of them were from Sunderland. It's unfortunate to think about but if the shoe was on the other foot, we'd have the same troglodytes from Newcastle come out of the woodwork with this kind of putrid nonsense. Nah they're a different breed altogether. Spend an hour in Sunderland and you'd see what a backward place it still is. No surprise at all to see them sympathise with him and berate the victim. I wouldn't have expected anything else. Oh I know, it's like 60s Warsaw in parts, but there's plenty of absolute filth living in Newcastle/Tyneside who would share similar opinions. People are scum and facebook/twitter showcase that tragically well. Don't know why this needs to be turned around onto the people of Newcastle so I'm going to leave it at that mate. Thing is, he's right though. We think we have the high ground because we are, by and large, decent people. Likely the majority of our friends who support Newcastle are decent people. When we see the mackems, we see the inbred goblinshite part of their populace and so we associate the entire place as being like that. Same way the decent mackems (and I admit, that hurt me to type) likely only see the horse punching bedsheet brigade who SKY love to interview. We only see the worst of the other side, in the main.
  18. Don't want this chancer for several reasons. He wont care about us staying up, he can sod off back to Portsmouth when the season is over. He hasn't impressed me at any of his clubs (bar Portsmouth and that was years ago). I doubt he'd have the desire to sort the club out as it's been too long for him and he has no reason to get the players to play (short term appointment so he wouldn't be managing for an extension). It was him who came out with the Ba release clause. He always has an unpopular opinion about our club whereby his only apparent thought is "how can I p*ss off the Geordie fans?".

    Steve McClaren

    He could always resign.
  20. Perhaps, but even if it is then it may cause a couple of scenarios: 1) the club suddenly become competent and realise he would be a great appointment 2) the club feel boxed into a corner and hire him 3) they do something underwhelming and the fans finally just say "f*ck it" and lose interest It's creating a whirlwind of speculation and expectations and the good thing is, this time it's in the public domain and getting the back page coverage it deserves. The club cannot fail to notice the swell of popular opinion on hiring Rafa.
  21. This is pretty much my preference order of the possible candidates listed in the press. Not even considering Pearson.

I am thinking there hasn't been an announcement because the board have decided there is nothing wrong and if theres nothing wrong, why would they make a statement? Not buying for time, I reckon concur has helped him come up with that strategy.
  23. Whilst you are most likely correct, I'm still gonna use this time to hope. There may be none left by the end of the week.
  24. oh f*ck! id forgotten about him!
