  1. Say it with me people. Liverpool at home, Liverpool at home, Liverpool at home! We need to manifest that.
  2. "claims to have seen" Shots fired!
  3. I hope not, it cost us a fortune in exorcism fees to get the spirit of Obertan out of Murphy. Have these malignant spirits no respect for our delicate PSR position?
  4. I thought he couldn't jump.
  5. I mean the kit is bad but looks at the players promoting it. Good god those were dark days.
  6. It's close but currently the 'tash beats out coke eyes.
  7. Sorry lads it's my fault. I put him in my fantasy team instead of Pedro.
  8. While he was clearly at fault for the 3rd could it on part be explained by the switch from Pope to Ramsdale? We all know Pope is a very active keeper in terms of coming off his line, so Botman may have partially got used to him sweeping situations like that up. Hence the slow reaction. Remember the disruption the switch from Pope to Dubravka caused two years ago because of the exact same reasons.
  9. My post match team talk would be "We just got beaten by a team managed by a man called Keith. Keith. Think on that and do better."
  10. We need to change up our tactics. They haven't fully evolved since we lost Isak to make the most of Woltemade but they are so unchanging it makes us far too easy to prepare for. Was anyone surprised at our starting line up? None of our new signings look to have been properly integrated into either our tactics from last season or updated tactics to reflect what they bring..
  11. So you're suggesting using a 33 year old CB, who has never played up front as an impact striker.
  12. I think we'll win. Under Howe while we still have that innate Newcastle ability to completely not turn up and lose to an absolutely dog dirt team little West Ham we've never done this two games in a row as far as I can recall. He'll have needled the players professional pride in just the right way and they'll be well up for it. Brentford are clearly better than West Ham but we're also clearly better than them.
  13. Urrrrr this is a thing?!? If I tried to watch more than 2 minutes of that I'm pretty sure I'd end up like this...
  14. I'm still positive about our season but the congested nature of the table makes me even more angry at last weekend's result.
  15. Anyone heard any more updates on the specific date the 95/96 away shirt will be released. It's the perfect Xmas present, so I'm hoping it's before then.
  16. I think it's the lack of novelty, we played Champions League 2 years ago, but more crucially the new league format. Its just got way less jeopardy per game, so that removes a lot of the excitement. I didn't watch a single minute of the Champions League last year before the final and a big part of that was the new format. I'm happy to accept that I'm an anomaly in this respect but that my theory anyway.
  17. None I think. It's wank on many, many levels.
  18. He's been so far off it for about 16 months now, so we can't just put it down to missing Hall as for about 8 of those months he had an in form Hall behind him. The penalty call that was overturned was almost entirety down to him. A very poor take on attempt led to West Ham getting the ball, he then totally lost Bowen when tracking back. It was obvious from about 5 seconds before he got the ball that Bowen was the most likely and most dangerous recipient and Gordon let him go completely. On this form he'll buy a selection conundrum for Tuchel as his club form does not warrant a call up but when he plays for England he does well.
  19. And of course I captained Woltemade and stuck Gordon in my fantasy team. Fuck sticks.
  20. Uuuuuuuurrr what an ugly watch that was. A toxic mix of sloppy and casual.
  21. Ah I had missed that in my quick Google. Just saw qualifiers in there. Anyway points stands we just need to accept short of another injury, which we certainly don't want, he's off in January.
  22. I'm sure this nothing to worry about, just a mixture of our new (Bunce led?) cautious approach to bring players back from injury and desires to make sure that him not going away on International duty in November can be justified. Which I think is fair when you had a new player who wasn't fully fit go away on International duty, play two full games and get injured for 3 months, you have a right to ensure that essentially the exact same thing doesn't happen again. I bet the first time we see him is Man City at home. Equally should DRC qualify for Afcon I'm sure he'll go. I can't see the club trying to get him out of it. We need to accept and support that.
  23. It's this that makes me so exited to see him and Wissa play together. They could be a strike partnership for the ages.
