  1. Think he came out at the start of the season saying he wanted to play out wide and not as a striker. Maybe not the best idea in a squad full of wingers with no striker
  2. Pep going to murder someone at HT.
  3. Having Kroos as the defensive midfielder against City feels like it's asking for trouble, like.
  4. His reputation as a horrible diving rat probably played some part in the decision. If you try and cheat as much as he does it's hard to complain when borderline calls go against you.
  5. The prices for the condition of the shirts in the CFS pop up was ridiculous. £200 for dirty stained tops. You can't expect mint condition on the age of some of them but you can pick the same standard ones on depop for less than half of that.
  6. I think the majority hate the Everton fans more than anything.
  7. There's always a weird narrative around him for whatever reason. "Doesn't want to try because Bruce has been sacked" "Throwing a strop because Eddie has asked him to track back" "Cares more about his board game" "Faking an injury so he could be subbed off" "Not happy because he's not the main man" Eddie has said numerous times he's playing for survival not how he wants to play long term. He's improved pretty much every player we have since he got here so there's little to suggest he won't be able to improve Maxi once we bring in proper attacking options around him and setup to play like he wants.
  8. Really pleased for him. He's in the same bracket as Wood in that he's a hard worker and likeable but should be nowhere near the team next season.
  9. Think he'd be really good for a side like Brighton.
  10. Think Osimhen would be my first choice striker target this summer.
  11. Harsh to use that to criticise Pep. What Klopp has done at Liverpool is ridiculous, two best sides in Europe ATM.
  12. The current Atleti defence is one of the worst they've had under Simeone. To be able to limit City to one goal over two legs was impressive. Was fairly obvious they were just trying to put themselves in a position where they could either knick something from a counter or set piece or just go for it in the 2nd half at the return leg at home. Was pretty close to working as well. The stuff about it being 'anti football' is rubbish, they had some great sequences playing it out from the back against a really well organised high pressing side. They are all mostly very good technical players.
  13. I don't even know how I have it in the first place but found it the other week. Looking him up he had a whole career where no club ever paid a fee for him.
  14. Atleti offer something very different to the competition comapred to he other top sides. They're great entertainment in knockout ties.
  15. As the proud owner of this signed photo I should be able to help out there.
  16. He's came in and helped keep them in the league comfortably when they looked like they where heading for a relegation scrap. I reckon he's repayed the gamble they took on him.
  17. It's been great in recent years as none of the top sides other than Atleti can really defend well. Combination of fullbacks becoming more and more attacking and there semmingly only being a handful of reliable CBs in world football has made for a much better spectacle.
  18. Bent decision in extra time to knock Chelsea out hopefully.
  19. Chelsea needlessly making it end to end when 4-3 up.
  20. Some of the worst defending you'll ever see at this level, there
  21. Linekar as well surely.
  22. Phillips would be infinitely better than JWP.
