The man who said he knew of a deal but couldn't discuss it, as discussing I meant it wouldn't happen? It's happening!!

Obviously we have a lot more individual talent, but it's like we recorded the top 40 on our uncle's top stereo system, using the top TDK cassettes, only to play it back on the French teacher's magnetophone.

I don't think anyone are missing that point, which is why he has had a fairly easy ride so far without much criticism. He's young in terms of premier league games played, but at 22 he's not young in footballing terms. To some degree I feel like the things he did really well last season shouldn't be affected by the system/tactics. He looks slower, incapable of creating space for himself with the ball and doesn't pass the ball with the same accuracy and confidence. Don't think I've seen one attempted cross field pass from him this season - he had a couple of great ones last season. I doubt Bruce has specifically asked him not to attempt one. I hope it's just a dip in form/confidence but that hope gets slimmer every match he plays. 22 is young regardless of anything. If he'd started playing (regularly) at 17 he would have had these problems at 18. He's still young enough to make up the difference, he just has less time. And every minute wasted under the coaching of Bruce is a travesty.

10 points is nowhere near a foregone conclusion, based purely on the methods that have secured the points in the bag. We could quite easily not win another point, all season. we're worse than the Derby team that nicked four points from ourselves.

People can say they're fine with this because we all know that the real test will never occur. Right now their actions have nothing to do with the club, so why should any supporter stop supporting just because the new owners have done bad things in the past? But if the time comes [it won't] when they are tried for their crimes against humanity, this thread should be very interesting.

Caulkin has yet to announce the deal he knows about [the one that won't happen if he talks about it], so that one must still be ongoing.

Did you see any of the election?

It's better the other way. At least when the opposition have the ball there is some football to watch. -
Shame the deadwood will be here longer than the loanees. Wouldn't be such a bad thing if we could just compost them.

Although we're making our own luck at the moment, I can't see it lasting. We'll hit reality soon enough. Question is whether Bruce can arrest the inevitable slump. I doubt it.

We are much more likely to go for Monitorman. Fucking Monkman, more likely. -
Did he mention it was nobody's fault, and how much of a pleasure it was to talk with Mike?

Loans are the zero hours contracts of the footballing world.

Not in the least bit surprised that he's injured. Bruce has been too reliant on him. Same as ASM. And Almiron, but he seems to be unbreakable [we shall see, of course...]. He pulled up late in a game not so long back, and that should have been a sign he needed a rest, but no. I mean let's be honest, without him and ASM we had nowt going forward. -
Quite a bit better tbf. I mean he previously tried to hire Rafa for one thing, and as far as I can tell the effort to build a new stadium was a serious one. Not to mention you can see some interviews on yt, he seems more open and less slippery than Ashley. Aye. If he is the kind to stay away, hiring Rafa is the perfect choice. Stark difference between him and Ashley.

Heaton, from Villa. Boiling water makes all the difference.

Not a puppet? I guess it was his idea to hold transfer talks, halfway through the window. Not a puppet. A muppet.
