  1. I spotted that too. FFS in 10 years people will be correcting me for saying should have. And I'm going to go insane trying to justify my stance.
  2. No. Mitro is putting too much pressure on himself to deliver. And Mitro's is f*** all like Arnautovich's, like. Arno goes in with the point of his elbow, Mitro pretty much slaps him with his bingowing. Anybody who thinks differently should be permanently banned from Jury Duty, because that shit matters.
  3. To be fair, those loan are interest free. Convert to market %, the interest cost per year should be 4-5M per year if finance externally. No people here will notice or bring this out anyway. How much you think the advert space that SD uses converts too? Yea I know that's the response in this forum when staying out some facts that looks in favour for the fat c***. Cockney mafia out, ok? Given that his free advertising is in exchange for the interest free loan, why wouldn't people ask that?
  4. Involement Missed that one. Did he underline it?
  5. I think Rafa might start the above team with the exception of ELLIOTT and Ritchie in for Darlow and Aarons. Will Shelvey come straight back in and if so who for ? Hard to say 50/50 guess. I know he is a lot of Toon fans favourite player but just can't see Ritchie being as effective in the Premiership.... particularly against the better teams Chelsea, Spurs, the two Manchester clubs, Arsenal etc Ritchie is very hard working and very intelligent, good taking set pieces but for all his bluster, puffing and panting he is not particularly big strong or fast or going to beat premiership defensive players. Aaron's and Atsu really are very quick, skillfull, able to open teams up and I think better equipped to hurt premiership defences. Ritchie may prove me wrong some games and he is Rafas choice it seems at the moment. It's just my personal opinion. I think he'll be vital against the bigger clubs, for his graft alone. He'll obviously have less impact going forward but his graft will be invaluable in defence. His a quick thinker too, which will give us an advantage in counter attacking. Remember his pass for Atsu last season. That shit could win us 3 points after a resilient defensive display.
  6. Why would anybody expect Cairney to know anything about it, since it was turned down? Slight over-reaction from the host.
  7. Sounds just like most major corporations to be fair.

Dotting the 'i's and crossing the 't's on every utterance that comes out of the club, making surely Rafa has no case for constructive dismissal. "all the funds THE CLUB generates, m'lud. The money the claimant is speaking of was generated by Newcastle United Ltd." Or some such bulshit.
  9. Aye having no left back is the reason we'll not qualify for the Champions League. Nowt to do with being a newly promoted side still with a championship squad, oh and it was never our goal in the first place. I totally agree with you, but it got me thinking about just how realistic would our chances have been. I'm sure Rafa was (still is) intent on being the best we can be. IF we had got a quality LB in that would have been every position covered with no stand-out weaknesses. We'd obviously expect some injuries throughout the season, but with Rafa's squad management/rotation, and all-round general organisation, we could cover quite competently, and probably make a decent season of it. A few strokes of luck and who knows, a couple of bad runs for the top clubs and we could be there or there abouts. Fuck sake Pards went into the last 2 games with a chance of Champions league. Obviously bad runs for top teams happen less often than Halley's comet, these days, whilst an eclipse is pretty much guaranteed every other year. But if you're wearing your shades when Halley goes by, you'll miss the opportunity of a lifetime.
  10. Ashley revels in the fact that Newcastle fans will go through hell or high water to watch their club. He'll get his slice somehow. It doesn't affect him if Sodexo lose out on 50000 pie sales one week. Maybe all we'll get is a sharp drop in wallpaper prices, but we could redecorate Britain in preparation for our new dawn of prosperity. "Bring back the Chintz" After all surely it was Ashley who bought it all when we chucked it out last time.
  11. Even better if 50000 screaming geordies all rang up tomorrow to cancel their sky package. Are you dense? What about the MILLIONS of sky subscribers of the PL and EFL teams? Do you genuinely think Sky give a toss if even 100,000 North East households pack in their Sky sports package? And even if they did care, are they going to penalise Ashley and deduct our cut of the TV revenue to compensate for our lack of regional contribution through TV services? If St James' was empty, it makes the fans and media of other clubs wonder and question why. Nobody gives a s*** if Barry from Cruddas Park cancels his £18 pound a month PL package, because that doesn't represent an empty seat on TV. Are you? I didn't say instead of. So regardless, my point still stands So you don't think people actively turning away from other brands, based on Ashley's brand would have any impact on his dealings in the business world. Ashley's customers are so disillusioned that they are deserting every company he associates with. That's the kind of shit that destroys people.

  14. This needs highlighting more. 4 out of 17 were his signings, 2 of whom were signed specifically for the champo. But yeah highlight that over the fact that the other 13 were responsible for holding him back in the transfer market.
  15. Just thinking about somebody asking for a refund on their ST and wondered what the situation would be if every fan demanded a refund. Obviously The Fat One would refuse, but if legal action was taken, with everybody represented as one, would it stand much chance in court?
  16. Yeah that's not true like, there's a lot of dross at the bottom of the PL. Getting up was a major achievement that had the potential to be career threatening for Rafa, he was expected to get us up, now he's working under an owner that has not backed him, a lot less pressure on him and a lot easier to play the style of counter attacking football he likes. Ah. All a cunning plan to reduce the pressure on Rafa, so he can go on and do a Ranieri. I like it. And it might work.
  17. f***ing hell As s*** as it is, he's got that option. Yeah but it's a disgraceful decision from him if he stays, clearly doesn't give a f*** about playing football, not that he can play anyway. Clearly doesn't give a f*** about the club either if he hangs around training with the kids just for a few quid. Wouldn't expect any better from him tbh though. Breaks my heart to think of Gary Speed suffering fro depression, when c***s like these can go to work day in day out knowing that they are not wanted. Just to clarify the point I was responding to was this one: And the like. Of course he has that right. But he also has a legally binding contract to back up his claim to that right in a court of law, if needed. He doesn't need sympathetic simpletons fighting his case in internet forums. My comment was a dig at people like this, who are a blight on the memory of the numerous footballers who have found life unfaceable without football, because it was such a central part of their life.
  18. This time we won't be so fortunate. Aye this time we've got a quality manager who will probably get this sack of shit squad to 12th in January. So no need to panic and spend any money.
  19. Is it deluded to expect the same level of backing for Rafa as was afforded to Steve McLaren?
  20. The press might try to ridicule it, the difference is this time the manager is one of the most highly respected managers in European football, not just another rat from the same sewer.
  21. We need a nice balance between protest of Ashley and support for Rafa and the team.
