Should probably play him in goal because of his aerial ability. And his distribution would be better than Elliot's.

If every season ticket holder decided to sue and got the worlds best lawyer to represent them, t would be a great film for somebody who looks like Julia Roberts.

Thought he was really good in Hacksaw Ridge.

I think at his age he's probably come up against a few pacey wingers, and I think he's probably smart enough to adapt his game accordingly. His through ball to Atsu suggested he doesn't need to get too far forward in order to be penetrative. No idea how much he'll be involved this season, but I won't be as concerned seeing his name on the sheet.

We may well be no more than a pig's ear, but we are expertly hand-stitched by an artisan, using the finest silk thread.

If those errors had cost us it would have been a terrible performance, just the way it goes. Thankfully we have a pretty solid defence which allows him a little insurance, which is probably vital at this stage of his career. He'd be finished as a footballer today, if Colo and Williamson were covering him.

Swansea had no width, offered very little and gifted our 6'2 CB a run at a corner. West Ham were generally appalling. I'm just being balanced in response to Stan's post that said we'd stay up comfortably; we deserve those excellent six points but I remain a bit nervous about a squad that clearly isn't brimming with PL talent. As has been pointed out by various people, we're relying on them being well-drilled, organised and - refreshingly - the fact that the team is determined and committed. Stoke is going to be the toughest test of these past three games. I think we might is now a certified guarantee is it?

I reckon we might have enough about us to comfortably avoid a relegation battle.

harsh to assume he's been dropped. -
You're talking about the suits, right?

The world would probably just see it as another advert and assume that Sir Geoffrey had given his support to the brand.
-
At the time he was probably the best player to have played in the prem. Now he'd be lucky if he was in the top 50 players to have upset the France manager.

If a sunderland fan had impregnated his sister to celebrate their last win, the bairn should be receiving a visiting order from Adam Johnson very soon.

But even if you win it hurts your ranking.... We failed to beat Scotland at Wembley, which would have had a negative impact on our ranking. We shouldn't be able to make up those points by arranging a friendly with San Marino.

Nicking empty Brown Ale crates from the stadium, in the mistaken belief that we could take them to the local off license and claim back the deposit, without raising suspicion. Still don't know to this day if a deposit was even repayable.

Is he Scottish?

50,000 humans at his whim? No way he's selling. It's his little toy. Not the club, the sims that come with it.

Of course it isn't, but ITV only care about their viewers. They don't give a fuck if society is full of rapists and murderers as long as their fervent patriotism means they open themselves up to the advertiser.

Asley's reply: YOU are the reason the club is self-sufficient, so therefore: YOU are the reason I'm still here. Go figure. Regards Mike.

Shelvey would be wasted playing that high up the field. His passes from deep are one of his key strengths. Not against Swansea obvs, but against teams who are likely to keep us pinned in, he'd naturally be drawn deeper. Might work. -
Show me one player who hasn't had a bad patch at some point in their career. I'm sure Shearer had a shite season once. Not comparing the two just highlighting the mootness of your point. I'm willing to bet that by the time he's 27 you're the only one talking about it. He's currently playing in a system that doesn't suit his attributes, for a manager who seems unwilling to adapt to a system that will exploit these attributes. Previously he has been picked specifically for those attributes. He is having to adapt. He is still young enough that he might do that. His goal against WHam was a sign of a footballer thinking about his game. It also demonstrated a confidence that was previously shackled by responsibility. As if anybody on here, at 22, wasn't a proper radgie on a Saturday night at least once or twice.

Also, I thought the 'ch' sound was an upturned 'h' symbol. Ah, probably different in Serbian.

The intent to ruffle a few feathers, nothing more. Seriously man. If there is intention there to do harm, then he's stupider than I give him credit for.
-
To be fair to mitro, he's shown similar, in bursts, during his time here. He hasn't hit any real consistency, but he's had a lot of pressure on young shoulders. His finish against WHam, was great. Even better since just before he was an almost identical situation, and lost out to Hart. He showed the composure, and dare I say intelligence, to do something different. That goal could have been the moment his career took off. Enter Phil fucking Neville. PHIL FUCKING NEVILLE?? A man so devoid of any personality, he makes Alan Shearer seem like a shining wit. Aye well Phil Neville is nothing more than a spoonerism of Alan Shearer. I reckon if Rafa has given him 4 months to save his NUFC career, he'll have to give him the opportunity to do so. I'm not too confident he will though.
