I like that one. It suggests a self-awareness of their own redundancy.

Lee Ryder's tweet: The club want to offer him a new deal, situation at a very early stage. Yeah, wanting to offer him a new deal is indeed a very early stage.

Who has Chris Sutton upset? https://www.facebook.com/btsport/videos/1684437024962826/

One of my favourite players of that period, his goal against Forest was a great moment. Similar to the time Johnny Beresford took a penalty in our 6-0 win over Barnsley, because he was the only player not to have scored.
-
Watched the training video on .co.uk where he kicks the post at the end. The look in his eyes when the video stops is etched in my mind now.
-
NUFC currently seeking to purchase a new pen. They are said to be monitoring the situation in staples.

That seems perfectly reasonable, just not sure whether the fat one is capable of reasonable.
-
He doesn't even understand business. He's just an ego on fat legs.
-
Allen got an assist, and Mbemba didn't.
-
Aye, of course. Football is about entertainment, and you can't measure that with (particularly well) statistics. If we're talking about arguments over player efficacy, accuracy or other discrete data, then obviously statistics are important. A: "player x always gives the ball away" B: "Not true, he has x% pass accuracy, above league average" Maybe he's easily tackled.

it's rare that you get a black player who looks like Adam Llalana.

I'd be delighted with top 10, but looking at last season there was little between 8th and 10th so it's not deluded to think it is possible. The ugly irony of this season is that Rafa will vindicate the fat one by the end of the season.
-
We're used to having them thrust into the spotlight by managers who haven't prepared them for it. Rafa seems to be getting that absolutely spot on.
-
I was just thinking I'm sure he's as good as Cahill was at his age.
-
I never suggested they weren't. Just thought "you useless cunt" was a weird response to a pic of him celebrating somebody's birthday.
-
How can you look at that and not want him to do well.
-
Aye, at the moment Ritchie, Atsu and Lascelles are carrying the goal threat but that will dry up for sure. We're going to need one of the strikers or Ayoze to start contributing asap imo. I think he'll have his days. I'm gonna predict he'll get the winner v Liverpool.
-
Has anybody checked to see if he got home okay?

Newcastle United 2 - 1 Stoke City - 16/09/17 (post match reaction from p21)

5 points clear of relegation. It's a nice cushion to have so early, means we can continue to take each game as it comes. -
That relationship is key, like. Probably even more so to the player himself. Lascelles has the potential to be a rough diamond, with the determination to fulfil that potential. Rafa has the experience and craftsmanship to make him truly shine.

I love the way he is demonstrating that his attitude is more than just hyperbole. All that 'we go again' is all well and good, but if you 'go again' and you're shite again then why bother. I honestly believe this guy is improving every week, not necessarily visibly, but you can see his attitude developing. His humble confession last week was a bigger sign of a confident, self realised young man than any goal celebration.

It makes one proud to be a Geordie.
