I think Gayle has done all he can to prove he deserves the opportunity to be first choice in the prem. And if we can buy some goals from midfield then I would be more than happy to go with him as first choice. Trouble is, can we as a club afford to take a chance on his fitness? I think if we lost Gayle to injury then a Mitro/Peres combo could possibly see us through a few games, especially if we had a more creative midfield/flanks. So for me, while a top striker would be fantastic, I think we really need to strengthen our midfield and most of our resources should be spent there (and a CB). Maybe we could get a premiership standard Darryl Murphy for about 6 Million?

We could guess but I he has sources in the club. He has reported with insight in past and so is likely to be on this occasion too. Unless… Also you use fingerprint on your phone, as it's p*ss easy to get a fingerprint from a glass etc make a mould from it and it usually works. Seen it done. It's not p*ss easy. First of all it requires a clean print, something that rarely happens as prints are usually smudged to force and/movement, and then the transfer of the print process. Then it requires a detailed scanner and printer that are usually reserved for lavatory requirements and cost in excess of thousands of pounds. The print also needs to be exactly the same size as the real print as well. Even after all that the print still usually fails, videos of it being done usually omit the whole process including the rejected attempts. Most phones etc all have a limited before which the backup password or code is required. Almost all phones have this backup password or code as an alternative to using the fingerprint which is far easier to break than replicating a finger print. Just cut their finger off.

But I can't see Rafa changing much and think we'll start cautious which will frustrate the crowd and any mistake will be jumped on. Then confidence will be shattered. You can very easily spin that the other way, like. We're the top scorers (not one of) in the Championship, and one of the reasons for that could be because we play 4231. Of course you can, but I wasn't questioning the notion that 4231 can be successful.

This 442 discussion is a bit tedious. To say the game has moved on from that is just ridiculous, it is still probably the most functional and flexible (dependant on personnel) formation out there. To use ourselves as an example: Despite being one of the top scorers in the entire league, watching us play we could be improved with a stronger presence in the box at key moments. And the match stats often appear to back that up. Since we clearly don't have a midfielder who is willing/able to provide that, why would you not consider putting an extra striker in. Because it would weaken our midfield? Well. yes it would, but the last 9 mins versus Norwich demonstrated that it can be highly effective. Other than that we have barely witnessed it. I'm not having a go at Rafa. He has us where we are, doing what he does and I have no complaints. I just think it is a bit pretentious of the writer to basically say 442 is unfashionable. After all 4231 is just 442 with a bit more fluidity because of better players.
