Nah. Keep the entertainment people out of sport.

Didn't he get a season long injury though. Edit: That might have been my football manager game.
-
For some reason I attributed that tweet directly to Howe.

Caulkin will know better than Eddie.

I'm sure Paul Goddard scored 7 in a row/

Nah. Trippier will know how to wind him up. -
Actually, with Burn as a 3rd CB we can afford to play a right footer over there. I think I'd be inclined to stick Manquillo there. Play Wilson and ASM up top, marked by the CBs, Manquillo cuts inside, dragging the FB out of position and ASM is in. Something like that.

Latest reports said it was worse than feared. -
A small, but notable progress on last season [the whole season not just the last 19 games] and sign Cannibaga in the summer and we'll have them both for at least two years after. Or sign him now and push closer to Europe this season.

Aye we need them to have a bad day, but even on a bad day they can punish you with their eyes closed. I'm not sure there's much more to drain from this set of players than what we saw at out best last season [Arsenal?] but if we can get a similar performance we stand a chance. I think pope increases our chances of a clean sheet slightly. And Botman could, but will Burn instead of Targett negate that? think that will affect our attacking more tbh. Not confident of a win, but never more confident that we can compete, at least. -
People say he's wasted as the defensive midfielder.
-
Yeah. The connection is made, we don't need to embarrass ourselves by courting him, but in true Catherine Cookson style, we'll be waiting when he decides to lay his hat and call the toon 'home'.
-
A year later they were prepared to give him away.
-
Very similar figures the last 5 years.

Not if the price was 50 but we knew it could drop/

Nothing in the wide areas.
-
Perfect planning and preparation prevents a preference for Pedro.

There's your problem. The industry just want stats, they pay G Neville a shit ton of money to add context.
-
I think you're assuming that a 1.0 xG is equal to a guaranteed goal.
-
You'd be declared insane.

I kind of agree, but if we go mad in the last two weeks I'll be proven wrong. Going back for Botman was a great decision, but it fed into the notion that we were prepared to spend big all over. I'm convinced Burn would have been good enough for this season [back-up is another question] and we now appear to be short of the money necessary to improve the areas that need it most. But like I say, this is mostly based on rumours and speculation about rumours. We could be pleasantly surprised b the end of the season. Whatever happens, any signing should be welcomed. Not blindly, but we have to trust Howe and the recruitment team for now.

I didn't see the game so can't comment on that directly, but those stats look as though they could accurately represent what I would expect from such a game. Top side dominate, and spend a lot of time in and around opponents area, when every successful pass can be considered to create a slim chance. and the lesser team, restricting them and getting better chances on the break.

2010 his first full season [just check Wkipedia man]. Played a full season in all but the two seasons at Man U. Wjoops. One season he only played 12 games at Cardiff. I'll be honest I've never liked Zaha, but will admit he has some qualities. But he's been allowed to retain his petulant attitude for two long, just because he's a footballer. He's been vindicated with a huge salary since he was about 18, never any need to grow up. I think he could have a quality end to his career as his age brings on a natural maturity.
