Not really an issue as such, but if you were to have multiple teams with hardly any players from the country you’re playing in, I personally think it would take something away from the league. The top teams are always going to have a reasonable number of ‘home’ players, not least because they’ll buy up all the best young ones, but we don’t want a league where the bottom half is full of teams that were substantially majority foreign.
-
From the Fulham side, yeah probably, but not from the Wolves side. Granted, they were missing Dawson, who would play, but looking at the squad, he seems to be the only English player likely to have much of a chance of starting.
-
Noticed Smith-Rowe was the only English player out of the 22 that started that Fulham-Wolves game. Doubt the fans of either side are too bothered, but not a great look for PL I would say.

Is there any evidence relating to the perceived detrimental effect on non-league attendances? I don’t know one person that regularly goes to watch non-league, that wouldn’t go if Newcastle were on TV.* *I will qualify that by saying I don’t know many that regularly watch non-league full stop, so I’m probably not in a good position to judge.

They’d be a monumental backlash against it, similar to the ESL fiasco, if it ever were proposed.

Reckon it might get knocked on the head in those predicted winds are anywhere close to correct. -
I guess I’m not so much judging him, rather saying if this approach of significantly holding him back ‘works’ and he generally stays fit, that’s probably a significant coup for Bunce. But, equally, you’re probably right, if he comes back and doesn’t last very long, that’s hardly a stick to beat Bunce with.
-
This is a bit of test of the addition of Bunce. Not that he should ever be judged on the fitness or otherwise of one player, but you’d imagine he’s been heavily involved with Wilson’s schedule for the last few weeks, as Eddie said it was no longer an injury as such, just making sure his muscles were ready. If Wilson stays fit (muscle-wise) for the rest of the season when he does eventually come back, that’s exactly the kind of thing he’s been brought in for.

He’s played (and scored) since the pec injury like.

Tonali actually did play two full 90 minute games.

Brief NUST summary of what he said the other night: Brad Miller and Simon Capper discussed their roles (supporting the Exec Board and 'bean counting' respectively) before attention turned to Paul Mitchell who was keen to address his much-reported-on relationship with Eddie Howe, or as Mitchell put it, the media's 'Eddie and Paul Watch'. In Mitchell's words: "We work closely and there is a natural collaboration. Eddie is an elite professional and it would be remiss of me to be looking over his shoulder." Paul described Eddie Howe as a 'very talented Head Coach' and Eales agreed his achievement in taking the club from a relegation spot to the Champions' League and a cup final 'speaks for itself'. Later Mitchell would clarify that he does not have the final say in player purchases 'and no Sporting Director [in football] does', with it being a 'collaborative approach' involving the Head Coach.

His CV would suggest otherwise

Yeah, and given there’s absolutely nothing in the way of ID checks at home games, there’s absolutely no chance of repercussions as long as the ticket is genuine and it’s being used by the correct age concession.

Suppose it depends whether they view being able to reinvest any Guehi fee in other areas of the team gives them a better chance of staying up?
-
That doesn’t sound right tbh. Did she definitely lose? Would only make sense if she had won?
-
Some feat considering he was towing a caravan for the first 5 games or so.
-
I was having this discussion with @LFEE the other day. I think some of the wording used is a bit confusing, he disagrees. Although @AyeDubbleYoo, as someone who tries for virtually every game, being slightly confused might back me up 😂 In the grand ticketing scheme of things, it’s hardly the biggest problem mind.

The number 10 and number 8 looked like proper ballers as the kids say. The 8 seemed to get very frustrated with herself second half but her technique and skill levels seemed miles ahead of everyone else* *apart from Stokes maybe who you can tell has played at the top level with her passing angles etc but looks like she struggles a bit physically now which is probably why she’s dropped a level.

Unfortunately expectation is the enemy of a decent atmosphere. Obviously things can happen during the match that will contribute to the atmosphere, but it’s no surprise that the best two atmospheres (by a distance) this season have been Man City and Arsenal, where expectations were probably at their lowest.

Beer fuelled on a Monday night in November? Respect the commitment to the sesh, but that feels optimistic.

Whether they’re using the wrong terminology or we are on here, there’s definitely a difference in what how the word ‘resale’ is viewed. The club view it as the point at which you can put a ST seat up for sale for a particular game. We (using the royal we) on here view it as the period from which Members are allowed to buy any available tickets if they’ve not been successful in the ballot. edit - actually have I misunderstood slightly? If I were to put my ticket for Leicester up for sale now, can someone buy it immediately or do they have to wait until Monday morning?
-
No, it’s the date from which ST holders are allowed to put their ticket up for sale if they aren’t going to attend. But no-one is allowed to actually buy it until the ‘General Sale’ opens.
