  1. Brice Samba not renewing his contract with Forest. Got to be a chance Darlow ends up back there now.

  3. Probably doesn’t tell us too much we don’t already know. Confirms the players we all expect to be moved on (Hayden, Clark, Gayle, Hendrick etc.), whilst stating wages might see some of them just go on loan with us having to subsidise part of them. Sounded more positive towards Jamal Lewis than you might expect. Says Matty Longstaff’s wage (£20k) is set to drop, without stating why. Must have had a clause to do with having to make so many appearances or something ??‍♂️ Dan Langley could end up being third choice keeper if the others leave. Almiron’s release clause is £60m ?
  4. I think you’ll find he’ll wear a magic hat and he could have signed for Dortmund…
  5. Has a player ever left an established league for a ‘money league’ for a couple of seasons, then returned as good, or better, than when they left? Sure there are examples, but can’t think of any of the top of my head.
  6. You have to factor in peoples opinion of him is clouded because he did a photo shoot in a dress and has his hair in a man bun. (and I’m not specifically relating that comment to our fans, it applies to all fans, Everton included)

Pretty decent travel-wise for them next year (bar Cardiff, Swansea, Norwich). Mad there’s no team south of London.
  8. How far down are we going here? Sure there’s some Gateshead players in with a shout? Blyth? North Shields? Consett?
  9. Because his distribution is Sunday league standard, which will hold him back from getting a top team unfortunately
  10. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-61555291 As tempting as it is to say ‘Scousers gonna Scouse’, it’s good to see something actually being done about this kind of thing. Obviously I’m sure there’s some that will sell on successfully in slightly more sophisticated manner, but still. May become a big issue for us one day…
  11. They haven’t announced yet (or even whether there definitely is going to be one).
  12. Possibly preparing to try and avoid the inevitable catastrophe that will ensue from any online general sale
  13. Would people that are happy with 5 matches a year be happy if those 5 were Brentford, Bournemouth, Fulham, Palace and Wolves? Maybe. Suppose that would be the chance you take. Although tbh, I very much doubt the club will go for anything this innovative/convoluted. Not yet anyway. Whichever way they go it’s likely to be fairly straightforward.
  14. Not really feasible given the amount fixtures get shunted about (if pre-planning would be the main reason for doing this).
  15. I have no real opinion on the bloke, but a scroll back through his social media suggests this to be total bollocks…
  16. My take from that SR thread is that it is clearly sensible to be prudent (insert your own figure as to what prudent looks like) to a degree. Obviously we’re looking to improve step-by-step, and we can probably reach the next step (lower top half) with the addition of players ~£40m and under, and the kind of wages they command. Once we’re in a position to genuinely challenge the top 6 / top 4, you’re probably looking at players that will improve us being ~£40m and upwards (and associated wages), so we’re going to have to have a bit in reserve to allow us to get them, before the CL money starts rolling in on a regular basis. Obviously the above is a very simplistic and linear take, and there’s always anomalies, but I think that’ll probably be our overarching long-term view.
  17. Not sure if it was noticeable on TV, but at the end of the match as he approached the away end, there was a bit of a chorus of “you laughed at us” being aimed at the Burnley fans. He made a bit of a gesture for that to stop. Didn’t make a big show of it or anything, but it did have a (partial) effect. He then followed it up with a much more pronounced fist pump in celebration. He’s absolute class.
  18. Agree with this. Unless he just had a particularly bad day in that respect, it’s unbelievable that an established PL keeper can have such poor distribution skills. Shame really, cos the rest of his game is arguably top 6 standard, and he’d probably be England No.1
  19. No, but I imagine it’s coming in the next couple of weeks
  20. Final day for ST renewals in case anyone has somehow forgotten to do so.
  21. Probably best off going to the Cricket Club right next to the ground
  22. Cardiff 13/14? The game where the crowd fully turned on Pardew.
