  1. Not sure if it was noticeable on TV, but at the end of the match as he approached the away end, there was a bit of a chorus of “you laughed at us” being aimed at the Burnley fans. He made a bit of a gesture for that to stop. Didn’t make a big show of it or anything, but it did have a (partial) effect. He then followed it up with a much more pronounced fist pump in celebration. He’s absolute class.
  2. Agree with this. Unless he just had a particularly bad day in that respect, it’s unbelievable that an established PL keeper can have such poor distribution skills. Shame really, cos the rest of his game is arguably top 6 standard, and he’d probably be England No.1
  3. No, but I imagine it’s coming in the next couple of weeks
  4. Final day for ST renewals in case anyone has somehow forgotten to do so.
  5. Probably best off going to the Cricket Club right next to the ground
  6. Cardiff 13/14? The game where the crowd fully turned on Pardew.
  7. I’m in the Leazes. Used to have a great view of the displays in the Gallowgate and think ‘wow, that’s class’. Since you’ve expanded and all stands have become part of it it’s harder to fully gauge what it looks like when you’re actually part of it, so you find yourself walking out after the game going straight on Twitter or wherever to see what it looked like. Tonight I had it up on my phone walking out, must have showed five random people and everyone was like ‘that’s fucking incredible’. One question to @Heron - who’s the clever fucker that works out which coloured flags need to go in which seats ?
  8. Imagine how much fun it could be over the next few seasons….
  9. This ‘£60m spend’ looks like stretching a fair old way…
  10. Of course, and that was the point I was trying to make. ASM plays well, ‘wear what you like son’ ASM plays poorly, ‘looking at him poncing about in his jewellery and Gucci’
  11. According to this he’s missed the same number of games this season as Haaland. Wonder if anyone thinks that should put Man City off?
  12. Would be a fantastic signing. Although wears some clothes that people say makes him a ‘poofta’, so not sure what to think.
  13. I think that’s fair. In the past the argument has been (with some justification), do the unfashionable games and in time you’ll get your reward. We’ll see how things progress going forward, but if we reach a point where you haven’t even got a hope of doing those games (and I’m especially thinking of youngsters just starting out), then something will need to change.
  14. This is a fair point. It’s harsh on those that genuinely gave up in some form of protest, but equally there were plenty who just gave up because it was all a bit shit. And sadly there’s no way of differentiating between the two.
  15. Best of luck but as discussed in here before, I think you’ll probably be disappointed.

Great insight from that Australian architect: ’SJP could definitely be expanded’ ’How?’ ’Dunno’
  17. If I understand Owen’s proposal correctly, he’s saying they can’t lose “value” as you can’t sell it for less than you paid for it. So if you buy it for whatever, and it becomes worth less in the marketplace, you’re lumbered with a 100% ‘loss’. Is that correct? If so, I’m not even sure how it’s legal, never mind the moral aspect of it.
  18. Following the apparent madness of Michael Owen’s venture into this world, does anyone actually know anyone who is buying /investing, whatever you want to call it, in this “market”. I’m probably not the target demographic for it, so might be no great surprise I find the whole thing totally ludicrous, but someone must be getting involved to make it worthwhile for people like Owen?
  19. They’re also seem to significantly less health and safety restrictions. Can you imagine if Wor Flags asked about incorporating a hundred flares/firecrackers into a display ?
  20. As opposed to the “locked out” route. Can’t win either way.
  21. Don’t think it’s been confirmed Memberships are still going to be a thing next season yet.
  22. I think if they went with option b) they’d have to change something around ST holder/member priority, so a larger number did actually reach general sale.
  23. To play devil’s advocate a little bit - if you’re hoping to get a season ticket for next year, would you rather: a) they put as many as possible on general sale, in the hope you get one despite the demand, but knowing if you don’t there’s going to be very limited individual match ticket sales, and as a result you’ll probably struggle to get to any games or b) limit the amount of ST’s they put on general sale so there’s still a good number of individual match ticket sales, which means if you miss out on a ST, there’s still a pretty reasonable chance you’ll be able to get to a few matches Guess most would answer a) and take the risk, but it’s an interesting point.
