Compared to before he doesn't really look as uncomfortable at all any more. Aye i think Lascelles has made a noticeable improvement. He’ll never be Beckenbauer but that doesn’t matter as long as he knows his limits.

I didn’t read it like that. I think Rafa was saying his energy is one of his strengths but he’s not using it as effectively as he could be.

WTF? I have a van full of Poo Sandwiches here that go out of date tommorrow, £500 quid. (please post this on RTG for me as i dont have an account)

It’s such an obvious con. If Ashley was at all serious about keeping Rafa and keeping him happy then work like that would’ve been done 2 years ago, same with the Almiron deal. Ashley will make all the right noises until Rafa signs on the dotted line then the cunt will revert back to being a cunt, it’s what cunts do.

Pickford is a total knob and is probably in the process of ruining his career by being a knob, but he’s worth a place in the squad at the moment. He can turn things around pretty quickly if he gets his act together.

So true!

They could still be glory hunters i suppose.... Just really, really shit ones

Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)

Not really sure if it’s been mentioned but i loved it the other day when someone played the ball out to him on the left, he did a little drop of the shoulder and used his pace to burst past the defender. Hope we see more play like that as he starts to settle in ? -
Every goal gets looked at. It doesn't stop the game unless there's an error or a perceived error Yeah it was the stoppage i was referring to, poor wording from me.

Bit weird mate Nonetheless, hanging fire for a second or so is a bit different to a couple of minutes... So no one else looks at the lino to check? I do, it’s not weird at all. If there’s a chance of an offside/foul/handball in the build up then i always hang fire in case it gets disallowed. Yes, joking aside, we probably all do glance at the linesman, if we think there's something, usually offside, potentially wrong with any goal. But as I say, that's a second or so that doesn't impede upon the spontaneity of your celebration. Hanging fire while they check 17 different camera angles to look at something will. It was very evident in that brilliant goal Tadic scored at Madrid last week. I agree that it will take away some excitement in certain instances, can’t argue with that. I just think that using current situations as to why VAR is shit isn’t that relevant as the system is still in it’s infancy. It will almost definitely improve over the next few years and soon we should have a pretty fast, effecient system that takes away that element of injustice most of the time. Also, it doesn’t get used on every goal, so i think a lot of people are watching 1 clip of when the decision has taken too long and exaggerating the overall impact VAR has.

I always say a manager should be judged in his 2nd season as the 1st one is usually a tricky transitional period. There are exceptions of course when the results are abysmal or it’s obvious that things aren’t gona work out. Allardyce and McLaren with us spring to mind as examples of that. I think Everton would be smart to give Silva some more time, especially when there’s no obvious replacement available and would want to go there.

He does like! It actually makes me like him more for some reason.
-
I’m still not sure why he thinks he’s silenced his critics just because he played well for 20 minutes. He could be so much more effective than he has been so far in his career.
-
He was basically saying that people who support a football club from outside their local area or who dont have a family connection to that club are unnacceptable.

Yep. Absolute tit.

1: You are given a 1-0 this season, which game do you chose to win? (Has to be a league game): Liverpool Away. Our record there is pathetic 2: You are given 1 club to be relegated from the Premier League, who do you chose?: Man Utd. 3: You are given one club to win the Champions League, who do you chose? (Club has to be in the Champions League or Champions League regular): PSG (would like to see Buffon complete his trophy cabinet.) 4: Would you rather win the Europa Leauge or the FA Cup?: FA Cup, it would end our awful record at Wembley. Europa League if the final was at Wembley. 5: One club to be promoted from the Championship?: Leeds. About time they were back. 6: Who would you prefer to win the SPL, Celtic or Rangers?: Couldn’t care less about them. 7: You are asked for 1 manager to be sacked?: Souness from Sky Sports. Absolute tosser. 8: A club other than the club you support to win their respective league?: Portsmouth

Good shout! They also had a centre back that used to charge forward at every opportunity, Lucio?

2 of Arsenal’s sides stick out for me. The one that won the double in ‘98 with Anelka, Petit and Overmars. Then the one a few years later with Pires, Henry, Ljungberg etc. Both class to watch and very physical sides aswell. As much as i like tippy-tappy football i like see teams being able to fight aswell.
