  1. Hmm, interesting. Not really sure he struggles with them in particular. You might see things differently like.
  2. Just got a text from a reliable source saying the same thing. You're both really bad people.
  3. He looks ravishing man. Great head of hair. Needs to shave his feet though.
  4. People seem utterly convinced we're going down without the takeover happening in time for substantial investment this month. To be fair I might have said the same a couple of weeks back. Bit more relaxed about it now. We do need some signings, but we've shown we're capable of getting results even with the current squad. Suppose what would change that is if the other strugglers bring in their own improvements and we're left behind. What worries me the most about relegation is how our performance against Stoke was probably us at the ceiling of our ability. 1-0 winners against a very poor Stoke outfit who had some very good chances. It wasn't like, we've played better than we just did against Stoke earlier on in the season. We were very good against West Ham & Stoke at home off the top of my head.
  5. Ben El-Mhanni, now free of the paper chains that held him, can burst onto the scene, cement his place in our first team and keep us up with a bicycle kick against Chelsea final day of the season.
  6. We should be signing that number 68 in red. Great anticipation & reading of the game.
  7. Yeah judging by some of the names being discussed (albeit mainly all speculation) we may as well just go with what we already have. I don't think we're short on numbers really, just quality. So unless we're adding players who are better than what we have in their position, then I wouldn't bother personally.
  8. He'll probably be a decent keeper when he's in his 30's aye I think so. Whether we can wait is another question. He will need first team action if he's to grow so it's a tough balancing act.
  9. Behind both Schlupp and Van Aanholt I guess. Hard to know why though... neither of them are very good left backs.
  10. Not sure, I know he got a really bad injury a few years when Pardew was there though, maybe he's just struggled to find he way back into the team with them signing quite a few in his position under Allardyce.
  11. He reminds me of Matt Ritchie. The one from Norwich I'd be after would be James Maddison.
  12. At this point we would be very, very lucky to even get £1m, let's face it.
  13. Or of course Darlow could still step up and become our number 1, he's only young in goalkeeping terms and he has some very strong aspects to his game. The things he needs to work on can be taught luckily so I think Darlow still has much room to grow into.
  14. Interesting. Wasn't exactly a standout player at Boro a few years ago, and at Fulham too fwiw. Must have improved a lot recently.
  15. I like Shelvey as a player a lot. I think he has a huge part to play for the remainder of the season in keeping us in this league. He offers our most threatening ball forward by some distance, contrary to belief on here & the stat obsessives.
  16. I remember some poster on here who seemed knowledgable of these sorts of transactions/negotiations said the sale of the club would easily take till at least the end of January/start of February. With that considered, how would people feel about us signing nobody but also selling nobody, and then being taken over when the window is closed? I wouldn't mind it, I think it will be close with the current squad but also genuinely feel we already have just enough to stay up. We're on course already tbf.
  17. Good luck Arma. The pessimist in me, however, says League One is as good as a level as he will get unfortunately. A good club is Blackburn though, always loved away days there.
  18. Link not working but is that confirmation of their signing of Nkoudou from Spurs? Quick, energetic player, liked him when he was at Marseille. I thought him and N'jie would be big hits for Spurs but it hasn't worked out for either of them really.
  19. He's a good player, young & a striker. £15 million should not be a problem, any less would be particularly cheap.
  20. Aye but would it be if Rafa could buy two Merino type deals for the £20m, say a midfielder and a striker ? I suppose this is what Rafa is weighing up if he's to be given no money to spend, and has to sell to raise cash. Where did Rafa say he's weighing up selling Shelvey like?
  21. Nowt hyperbolic about the statement that Shelvey is our best footballer like. He is Sakho plus £20m is though. Aye, fair one
  22. err no! No to what? I’ll start with him being our best footballer... Then him being worth 20m + another player. Unless I’m being wooshed! Yeah you're right, straight swap with Darren Gibson please.
