  1. Sound - Cazorla, Nasri, Balotelli, Meyer, Can & Buffon it is then.
  2. I reckon Kahn was every bit as good and as important to Bayern as Neuer is/was like. Neuer is of the new age, becoming famous for his sweeper instincts, distribution and foot work as much as his goalkeeping. Kahn was a brut, I agree he used to palm away many shots that maybe the likes of De Gea would be catching these days, but he kept the ball out of the net tremendously effectively and had goalkeeping attributes & presence that were and still are second to none imo. Was brilliant to watch too which has to count for something.
  3. Best for him to move on and settle elsewhere rather than sit on the outskirts of our set up for years. Maybe he can return if he progresses well. Always looked like a boy against men when he turned out for us though and I'm not sure he's developed all that much since tbh.
  4. Aye Joselu is nowhere near one the worst. In fact he shouldn't even be in that conversation given some of the shite that has turned out for us - even just in recent years.
  5. I have to admit, I never understood the whole deal with people thinking Kahn was a great 'keeper. For me there was a massive lack of world class 'keepers for a couple of years between Schmiechel leaving Man United and Buffon upping his game/Cech coming on the scene. I feel like he faded off quality wise towards the end of his playing career, but in his prime he was completely dominant. Incredible reflexes for such a big man, shot stopping second to none and the added bonus of being a wicked penalty stopper. Better than Casillas & Cech for me, but it's personal opinion/exposure really. I was pretty passionate about becoming a goalkeeper from like 2002-2006 and Kahn was the best in the world around that time.
  6. Well I certainly won't be getting flustered about Semedo, then. That's what I like to hear
  7. He's shit? Putting words in my mouth there like. I was simply stating that 25 million is quite a lot for someone deemed to be currently behind Cedric in the pecking order and thus I'm not buying the 'teams pulling away from us already' narrative. Not sure what any of that has to do with Lascelles being worth under £20 million, but crack on
  8. Nope, not sure how you worked that one out. All I'm saying is I won't be getting too flustered over Leicester signing a 25 million full back whose had a few decent seasons in Ligue 1.
  9. Yet to dislodge Cedric Soares and Cancelo at right back for the national team making him third choice so make of that what you will. I certainly won't be getting too flustered over our 'rivals' splashing out £20+ million on unproven right backs.
  10. Check the forum rules, no pornographic material allowed.
  11. Big Flo or wor Jonjo could pull that off with ease
  12. Surprised to not hear Oliver Kahn's name in this goalkeeper discussion. He was outstanding, better than some of the names mentioned - as much as I rate De Gea and the likes.
  13. Find it hard to believe that Rafa would have held any sort of talks given that we only played our last game 4 days ago. Would have had to have happened very quickly and I just can't see it knowing what we know about his character. I'm pretty confident that he won't be signing for West Ham.
  14. Aye Leander Dendoncker. CDM, he looks mint. West Ham wanted him in January I think. Valued high though, much more than Chancel & Sels' worth combined. Probably most comparable to Diame in our current squad, breaks up play, fairly energetic but with an attacking tendency too. Little bit slow & sluggish though which might see him struggle a little bit in this league.
  15. Still only 26, Shelvey, must be in with a chance of making Euro 2020 if he maintains form. Actually, idc
  16. Marseille's best player by a mile, never mind Payet. Also as an aside whenever I see Lucas Ocampos play I can just imagine him in the Premier League, particularly under someone like Rafa. Does his defensive work very well and is strong & combative for a winger.
  17. Great play by Marseille, poor finishing.
  18. I don't want, any more Matz Sels, Should have kept this song For Jamaal Lascelles. One too many syllables in the first line, otherwise that would sound canny good I reckon
  19. He would make a decent full back/wing back in a slightly lesser league, no disrespect intended. Ligue 1, Belgian First Division, Eredivisie - that sort of thing. He's a good athlete & decent enough in possession. Good luck Sadio
  20. Rooney has 10, as does Eriksen. A few wingers have more such as Sterling & Mahrez. Pretty good company for Perez like. All from open play too which counts for a lot imo.
  21. Also don't really buy the weak on the ball narrative. He always looks composed and assured to me, finding his intended target more times than not. He's no Lejeune in possession, but he doesn't really need to be.
