Newcastle United transfer rumours in the press
Infinitely Content replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
Murphy is very raw, but you can see the potential in him to become our best player. Gayle I just don't really like as a player tbh, and considering his play style doesn't really contribute to the overall team, and he is only there to put the ball in the back of the net, he hasn't done it enough this season for me, and has even missed a fair few chances that he should have scored. Ritchie is the punching bag of the week for some bizarre reason. He's a very good player and we would probably be in the bottom 3 without his contribution this season. Enough said really. As for Gayle, he's okay. Nothing more. Our best performance from a striker all season was from Perez last game, despite having not played in that position for years. Says it all. -

Gayle & Murphy better than Ritchie & Shelvey Fair enough, fair enough. Entitled to your opinion ofc. -

Thats actually a very good question. Who would people say are our 5 best players? I'd go with: Merino, Lascelles, Shelvey, Ritchie, Atsu. Exactly the same for me. -

Lol. Matt Ritchie is comfortably in our top 5 players. Our fans can be right weirdos. -
I know of some interesting restaurants in Guangxi like.

We should move our training ground to Shenzhen to attract all the talent.

He's class. Wolves outbidding Real Madrid They're gonna win the Prem next year.
-
Yep, Sterling & Salah are the best performers this season for me. De Bruyne just behind.

Ayozé Pérez (now playing for Villarreal)

Agreed. He also has better movement & tenacity than Gayle which is essential for a smaller player playing upfront by himself in a physically imposing league. Gayle is so static a lot of the time and it's frustrates the hell out of me, whereas Perez never stops chasing. -
Matt Ritchie (now playing for Portsmouth)

Don't get the Ritchie hate at all. In fact I don't get why one player needs to be singled out on a weekly basis. It's a bit weird. Those saying he has an attitude problem, explain why? Because in my eyes, his attitude is brilliant, he just has more effective games than others. -

Not-serious-but-still-kind-of-serious-answer: Perchinho for his suprise heroics those years ago. Serious answer: Shay Given for inspiring my entire childhood. (I even went to the hair dressers with a photo of him to get a receding hairline cut in as I just though that was his style). -
Doesn't he just look ecstatic to be there
-
Must have went to the same guy as I did on NYE
-
Does he have a song? I can't recall one being sang directly about him from the stands... Edit: Oops, I hadn't read the last few comments before posting that.

Huddersfield signing Kongolo of Monaco (formerly Feyenoord) on loan. He's looked good to me when I've seen clips of him playing for Feyenoord so it will be interested to see him in this league.

Illuminati confirmed.

Well I hope the team don't share your attitude! No reason why we can't beat these.

Plenty around me. In fact I looked round to the sides and behind where I was sat and I was the only one applauding out of a good few rows. Strange, really. We really need to stick behind the team more than ever, as Rafa iterates over and over, so it's sad to see some of the more fickle bunch giving up at an important part of the season.

Joselu has been playing quite well lately I think. He seems to win nearly everything fired towards him which is as much I as would ask from Mitrovic. He just needs to improve his decision making around the box and I think he'll be a solid back up striker to whoever we buy.

Our best winger after coming on yesterday

He had a decent game but world class is pushing it. I would expect most 'keepers this level to save both. The deflected one from Hayden was travelling painfully slowly so he had the time to get to it and the one from Gayle was relatively regulation but did look good. Both good saves. He's miles ahead of what we've got mind and seems to have recovered from his early season howlers. From my angle in the Leazes they looked like absolutely outstanding saves. Haven't watched the TV highlights, may change my mind.
