Most of their play is so heavily reliant on McGeady who himself isn't very good. They also have no genuine pace on the wings willing to carry the ball forward and be more direct. Everything seems to start with McGeady centrally, goes out wide and then backwards straight away. They should be looking to start two of Asora, Maja or Ejaria every game if they're to have a chance like. Far too pedestrian otherwise.

Other than City & Liverpool who we've played twice each, I don't think we have to really worry about coming up against the other sides in the division. I think they would all struggle to break our defence down at present. The likes of Chelsea and Arsenal are hardly daunting prospects this year.

Threaded a few good passes towards Gayle/Perez yesterday. Improving all the time going forward, been brilliant at the back for some time now.

His control was unreal. There was one where there was a big hoofed high ball out and he just killed it dead with his first touch. Amazing. Stoke at home. Tiote with the pass

Re-watched extended highlights of the game yesterday and Perez was involved in so much good work going forward for us. Don't get any of the criticism like, it seems mental after the way he's been playing lately. The oldies do seem to hate him for no good reason.

It's worth noting that Perez played a wonderful outside foot pass to Atsu to start the move that led to him scoring. It was good play all round from him. He's been looking decent in the middle recently I think, whereas he's seemed to struggle there in the past.

I feel both of those statements may be some what of an exaggeration That post-win euphoria kicking in

Nah Mr. Commentator, he doesn't usually score chances like that. It's a good job his general play is good mind. He leads the line quite well for a smaller centre forward. Can't finish though.

Frustrating that Gayle seems to need at least 3 chances before scoring 1. Finishing isn't as strong as people say. (I'm saying this with the hope he will go and score now). Yedlin has made some silly errors too, really avoidable. We've been excellent other than those little issues though, pleasing stuff.

Salah is just wonderful. I hope he continues this form into next season & stays at Liverpool. The league is so much better for it.

Kachunga is a good attacking player for them. Shame he's back in for this after a long spell out. Still fancy us to get the job done mind.

Very recent, but a goal I really enjoyed and was surprised to see us pull off would be Perez v Ipswich where I believe every member of the team touched the ball from kick off and Perez finished brilliantly with a volley.

Too hard not to mention a few. Solano's chip over Edwin Van Der Sar as it was my first live goal. Shearer's effort against Villa (used to watch that over and over on my 'return of the entertainers' VHS). Robert's piledrivers against Spurs & Ben Arfa's dazzling runs simply have to get a mention too.
