  1. The Premier League is objectively appraised as being shit quality again over there. Three promoted teams from their division relegated bar the formalities in February shit.
  2. Yeah think this defines this league season. Win and were in the CL hunt, lose and I think were out of it. So probably be a draw and none the wiser
  3. i'd rather have years of abject Rashford performances backing my point up than a couple half decent performances at a new club. Be flash in the pan territory for a good while yet. (as someone who didn't comment/care one way or the other)
  4. Its hardly altruistic and 'keeping' tickets cheap. Its because they cant charge more and not get a half empty or worse stadium. If they had the support they literally like to pretend they have they'd charge more. So I will knock them thanks
  5. Well that's considerably lower than ours that same year then when we were a division lower and not winning FA Cups.
  6. At the absolute least make a straight knockout competition instead of C team champions league. Not as much background noise TV content that way though.
  7. Plan to put some money on Nunez scoring. Best let him notch in the league game.
  8. Everton were getting 13,000 a year before winning the championship in the 80s, a year they won the FA Cup and got 13,000 in the PL era. That's lower than the standard dig at us when we were in the bottom half of the second divsion without a trophy for quarter of a century and at our all time lowest ebb. We took more to the charity shield than Everton and Blackburn took combined a year earlier. Cant make a case they're better supported than us at all. Fanbase has to manifest in gates at some point to have some basis in reality.
  9. As someone above has mentioned Derby in 92, I was at the same fixture early on the next season, saw next to nothing (put in a paddock by then) and loved every bit of it. Fans since cant understand that because its completely changed, was never really about the entertainment as a spectacle but the occasion. A bit of the hairyness and rivallry going probably hasn't helped, felt like total enemies and personal for 90minutes, even somewhere like Derby or at home to Wolves, feels more like bants since.
  10. End of story really. Just going around in circles with anything else.
  11. Very very generous. Dixon was prolific. Hojlunds more like Lee Dixon in that regard
  12. Think this looks worse because at least those two can be entertaingly bad.
  13. The day cant come soon enough. If this is the 'competitiveness' were to expect indefinitely.
  14. Whether the thinking is players start games with a 5 rating and it goes up or down from there or start with a 0 and it goes up from there pending performance, only the subs reached 5 ratings for me.
  15. He's par for the course. Were not getting to the echelon were top4 and winning things is likely under these new rules under anyone. That's the point of the rules. All we can do is what the manager has done - get to the occasional cup final, cup runs and occasional qualification for the champions league - all by out performing teams with advantages over us. Anybody else would have to do at least that.
  16. In the games since winning a semi-final on this and the last three occasions we've won 2 in 17 *one of those was a dick around against Chelsea the other Barnsley (which we cheated to win)
  17. Man City and Liverpool are much, much better teams than us. Were bound to lose most of the time to them. Aside from that though the performance was legit terrible on our part. There's probably a few other teams we should be losing to regularly (Arsenal) but we dont
  18. Legit thought you were describing the team initially
  19. In a long line of exclusively bad performances there (in the league) that might be the worst. Didn't expect that even though was all but 100% certain we'd lose.
  20. Lose that and were out the champions league for me.
  21. Would still most definitely take a draw. Dont think it will come down to it in the end but its effectively a 6pointer at the moment.
  22. The way we were going was just fine for me and in a necessity is the mother of invention way it was working better than a Man City/Blackburn splurge. A big signing 40-75m ala Tonali or Bruno every year, supplemented by bits of smart business like Pope and Burn and some youngsters was fine. Its absurd that even that slow, smart build was prohibited
  23. Cue ESL craic emerging in the new few days.
