  1. Be a bit flat if Forest-Chelsea on the last day has nothing riding on it. Personally taking each game as it comes. Perhaps because of having done the prediction table a while back and seen how tight it ended up, its better that way. Would feel a lot better if some result in another game went our way for a change, be a bit uncomfortable playing Brighton if none of them have dropped something beforehand - no 6pointers but tricky fixtures.
  2. Crystal Palace and Bournemouth have had 10x more 'good times' than them in recent years and bigger catchment areas.
  3. Worth mentioning Bryan Wade. Scored four of his six goals that season for Brighton on his debut against us, barely heard of before or since.
  4. Wolfcastle

    Scott McTominay

and even they were a step down from the eras before them
  5. That they've lost 19 games and probably more to come and have comfortably avoided relegation
  6. Never let you down Spurs mind, when you expect them to be rolled over
  7. bit like us against Arsenal in 98, never in it, then all of a sudden hit the bar and post
  8. Every time I see Forest they're boring and wholly unimpressive. Not naff just indiscernible from anybody beyond the relegated teams, Man U and Spurs
  9. Was just thinking how much more intense semis used to feel at non Wembley venues
  10. Have to say, though not watching them helps, my Liverpool loathing has subsided greatly since the final.
  11. Yes. Mentioned in another thread - Villa and Liverpool couldn't sell out a 55,000 Old Trafford 1hours drive away in the late 90s A bit goes on the support but the pricing and venues decisions are big factors.
  12. "So many" is a bit much, would have been less than about 5% if that. Was more a case of would rather sack some of the players but you cant and Sir Bobby was leaving at the end of that season anyway but was no calls, chants or any turning against from memory and I've seen no evidence for it since. Its always just that the ground was half-empty for a walk around after Wolves but it was half empty for a walk around after Villa in 01 too.
  13. Got hammered in an FA CUp semi-final that year 3-0 too. The one where Liverpool and Villa couldn't sell out a 55k Old Trafford, 1hr away, between them
  14. In all seriousness though Palace did a right job there.
  15. Hope Palace lose the final whoever they get but - ha- ha Villa
  16. Brighton too soon probably. Good asset for Arsenal though, part of the defence that's shut them out so readily in the past
  17. Just like North East Top Dogs and Winning Sequences its another thing we've probably 'won' multiple times and not realised. (know can think of some examples off the top of my head 93, 95 97 )
  18. Villa v Fulham too with Fulham after Europe. Very tricky at the very least.
  19. Quite a few potential problems next week for all of us (City aside). Could go either way for us. Would take parity and the horizon inched closer to after next weekened now.
  20. Well, job done, weird skewed game, as you were in the overall but inching closer
  21. Not for extra games but do think its fairer. GD can be skewered by playing teams with nothing to play for, already relegated, teams playing 2nd strings etc. Its not a new thing, been around at least 30years(Padova and Genoa had a relegation play-off then). Seen some piece slating it in the papers this week, just hope he applies the same to the playoffs here but would be surprised
  22. I know, its like that's the final proof he didn't have a clue, wasn't even a remotely decent guess, the other stuff was at least up for debate.
  23. Must have been 20seconds per VAR check and for the substitution
  24. Looks like he's completely lost the plot, like each of his own decisions has further thrown him off the next
