  1. Not a fan of 'keepers scrambling across their goal line as crosses come in. Pope might overplay his hand at times with crosses, but I'd much rather have a 'keeper that commands on crosses.
  2. Found his level. Nah, he was good but it's never been about his ability, it's whether he'll go and do that again the next time he plays.

    Nick Woltemade

Looks like Wissa's back at the right time in terms of Nick's tiredness. He's grafted his arse off and put in a fantastic shift Hopefully he can rest up a bit and come back on fire.
  4. Think you'll be surprised when you watch it back, we had some really nice moments nigh on always involving Bruno. Should have won by 4 or 5 tbh, that post 90 minutes carry on was ridiculous.
  5. The jury will be out for a while yet for me, but I'm still just not sure what he is. Looking at his highlights from when he was in form you'd think like an in form Willock but with a goal threat. At the moment he's more like an out of form Willock.
  6. That would have been a parody of ourselves this season if we'd thrown that away at the end. Fucking hell, what are we like!? About as comfortable as it gets and we could have legitimately ended up drawing in the end. Hard to know how to rate the players there when the opposition was so bad. That post-90 minutes man, totally different team and it's almost like when 90 minutes comes, that's the actual kick off for the match. Ramsdale: 6.5 Livramento: 6.5 Schär: 7 Thiaw: 7 Burn: 7 Willock: 6.5 Bruno: 8 Ramsey: 5.5 Gordon: 8 Woltemade: 6 Elanga: 7
  7. The thing is, if Liverpool were good in transition, teams would be in much more of a low block than they are. The fact that they're not good in transition, because they're so slow, is why teams attack them more and give them more opportunities to counter. Any Newcastle fan or casual observer of us vs a team in a low block could have told you that we (and he) struggled.
  8. Gameweek 15 - deadline Saturday 6th December @ 12.30pm Villa 2 v 1 Arsenal Bournemouth 0 v 1 Chelsea Everton 1 v 0 Forest Man City 2 v 1 Sunderland Newcastle 2 v 1 Burnley Spurs 1 v 1 Brentford Leeds 1 v 1 Liverpool Brighton 3 v 1 West Ham Fulham 1 v 1 Palace Wolves 0 v 2 Man United
  9. Fitting that it's his back considering he never is for long.
  10. Your posts make more sense now I know you didn't even watch it.
  11. I mean, I don't disagree I just think personal autonomy and responsibility are much more important. ie the solution isn't that bullshitters should be silenced, but that people should have the skills to spot bullshitters. Again though, I don't think Tyneside Life is particularly egregious on that front in the grand scheme of things. On SJP he's no different to a lot of the amateur sleuth posts there are on here.
  12. I don't think it's particularly egregious in this case tbh and everyone can take it all with a pinch of salt.
  13. Don't have a problem with those types of videos or the amateur sleuthing etc. I'm all for it. My main and only gripe with Eddie is that he's a cantankerous egomaniac who seems to just want to have his own fanclub and can't seem to handle even the mildest questions without having a meltdown.
  14. His presumption that a 'world class' stadium automatically means only a massive stadium complex on the scale of Atlanta and others will do seems like a bit of a leap.
  15. The last few times I've watched them he's been coming short like he did with us and they just completely ignored both him and the space he'd created in behind. Tonight it was like he'd been told to stop doing that, which begs the question why they signed him when that's his game.
  16. Couldn't give a shit about Sunderland really, so a Liverpool loss or a draw with Judas being absolutely shit is basically only him being injured away from being ideal.
  17. DCL absolutely would have been a good 3rd choice for us like.
  18. It surely has to be. Can't think of anyone that got anywhere near it. What's weirder is that they don't seem that bad, We've seen much worse looking teams than them over the years.
  19. The funniest thing is that I turned it on about 10 minutes in, he got on the ball and the Sunderland fans booed him. I thought that was quite funny considering we despise the cunt, but what's even funnier is that's the last time that he was booed, because that's the last time he was on the ball.
  20. Experts are calling it the first recorded instance of a rat jumping on to a sinking ship.
  21. Our early goal record at this point in the season is better than at this point last season and the one before FWIW. It's not so much early goals for me anyway, it's more that once that first one comes it used to be that we'd sort of cracked the code and would go and do it again. This season it's like we crack the code and immediately change how we play. Isak is a contributing factor for sure, but nowhere near as much as our overall mental attitude imo, it's happened too often to pin it on any one player past or present.
  22. I think it says a lot that you have to go back nearly 3 years to think of his last indisputable clanger before Marseille tbh. 'Keepers will make mistakes and while I do think we need to upgrade, I do think Pope's weaknesses and mistakes are overstated while his strengths are completely taken for granted.
