In a season of some absolutely stinking performances from the officials, I think that might be the worst. Sometimes refs are okay then get the big decisions wrong, or they might be poor overall but get the big decisions right. Marriner was the worth of boast worlds, particularly in general play. I absolutely take the point that you want to keep the flow of the game and not blow for every little indiscretion but that was absolutely taking the piss to the extreme. Wilson, Bruno, Longstaff, Joelinton, and Trippier were all blatantly fouled regularly, with the threshold for giving a free kick seemingly being Bruno having to have his shirt ripped. Then Longstaff gets done in by an ankle breaker nowhere near the ball : no pen, no VAR overturn, told to get on with it, no cards for the 3 different Everton players who tried to roll him off the pitch/pick him up. Yet no treatment allowed and no sub allowed for ages. Nothing short of a disgrace.

It can't be overstated how much more of a closed shop the top of the Premier League is now compared to then. I've said it before, but if Howe gets us to 3rd or 4th it's second only to Leicester in terms of insane turnarounds. It'll largely only be us that appreciate it though.

Botman's a player that I think non Newcastle fans seem to latch onto more fore some reason. He's quality but Fabian Schär's right there next to him man
-
He's been playing within himself for a while becauseofhis ankle problem, but the fundamentals of his game are so good that a bad game for him is still a 6/10
-
Goes onto the shanly disallowed goals of the season list with MacAllister and Tielemens
-
He has a decent chance of getting double figures now. He wasn't amazing overall but had some moments of quality when it really mattered

Fucking hell. We're actually really good aren't we?

Always just assume 95/96 is our record. 27 away points that season -
I wish there were another 6 hours in the day. WHQ?

Who is he? He's loving life

Would be funny if Romano got another here we go wrong on the same player. Good sign if he's going to Brighton, but we've either got Isak instead or we're after someone potentially better.

Getting outstripped by a faster player aside, he was absolutely fine. Happy to see him back -
So glad that he's back on his meds. He's so fucking good man.

Reacted like SBR to Ronaldo at that run. Jesus fucking Christ.

Alexander, your latest performance was as delectable as dipping my bottom over and over again into a bath of the silkiest oils and creams

After a ridiculous first 20 minutes on Sunday, we've gone and followed it up with an almost equally ridiculous last 20 minutes. What a result. That 2nd goal bottlenecked our quality and as soon as it was broken, we were ruthless and full of swag. Brilliant to watch. Tonight we beat Everton, the crowd, the pressure, the shocking officials, the white kit curse, the BT Sport curse, and what to me was our toughest remaining fixture. Fucking get in!! Pope: 7 Trippier: 8 Schär: 8.5 Botman: 7.5 Targett: 7 Bruno: 7 Joelinton: 7.5 Longstaff: 7 Willock: 7.5 Wilson: 10 Almiron: 5.5 Burn: 7 Isak: 9.5 Murphy: 8.5

Just heard the goals repeated on Radio Newcastle. You can probably guess Ando's reaction to our 4th
