I totally agree that it's not us much the case with Maguire now like, but for a long time he was a complete Jekyl and Hyde, with people constantly only looking at his Man United form. Even now, with his England form being poor, I still don't think you can totally disregard his previous form, mainly because it was that good.

Grealish has performed quite a few times for England like. I couldn't name a single time Sancho has. I understand people looking at player's club form, what I can't understand is completely ignoring player's form for England. Pickford and Maguire being the main two where their England form seems to count for nothing for some reason.

He's been very good (injuries aside) up until this season I think. If his form hadn't been so shit this year I'd have had him in the squad.

Maybe I'd have said Joe Gomez but he's been shite every time I've seen Liverpool this season.

Think that's about as good a squad as you could hope for tbh. There's no one that comes to mind who realistically should have made the cut.

Nothing immediately stands out as shocking or out of place. I think Dani Alves is the best RB I've ever seen, so I'd maybe have him a bit higher. The older I get the more overrated I think Zidane is as well, he wouldn't be in my top 5 like, definitely not, and not above Cruyff who did much more than just play outstanding football, but was a master tactician and incredibly smart even just in his time as a player. I get that it's the popular football hipster argument to make, but I think it's a totally correct one tbh - Iniesta was better than Zidane. Stylistically and personal preference, take your pick, but I think in terms of who was better, it's Iniesta.

Was expecting Bruno's pen to be worse than that Pogba one based on all the comments. It was poor but it wasn't that bad.

I've probably never been more confident about a SJP match under the lights against good opposition tbh. Doing the feel confident, dont get too cocky, feel nervous cycle as a result.

I watched him a couple of times when he was on loan and the standard at that level was eye-opening. He's definitely took a step from then this season imo, but I thought it was a big ask and that he should go out on loan. Hopefully he does, 6 months at a possession based Championship club should do him the world of good.

So long as it's not his Ginola vs Dixon moment, it should be alright.

Very happy with that line up. Good strength while resting who needs to be. Will be interesting to see how we play considering how much we play through Trippier. Hoping for ASM and Joelinton to do the business down the left.

Tbf Howe didn't give much room for criticism imo, the improvement was immediate with results not that far behind.

You're an idiot. It's a lot harder than you think. Decent template for anyone who's good at drawing though, because that's the way I think it would have to work - do an a-ha take on me video style drawing of Howe - rather than take a photo of Howe and try and stylise it into being like in the video.
