I know it is easy to dazzled by such a star on the rise, especially given the change his signing has had a key part in producing, but it seems within his reach. He’d have to go and do it at the very highest level, which (perhaps unfortunately for us …) I could see him doing. He’s not looked outclassed/found out by any opponents as yet (that I can recall) during the first half season in one of the, if not the, toughest league(s) in the world.

Well, it wouldn’t make up for it, but could still be a ‘revenge as a dish best served cold’ kind of moment!

I think we already have a really good chance of finishing above Man Utd this year. I doubt the NUFC leadership will be getting as carried away as us supporters (well me, at least) but with a couple of ‘stretch ourselves now’ kind of signings I genuinely believe we could elbow our way into the mix this year.

Me too. We just took our game to the fearsome Premiership! Nice blend of experience and youth. Local players making the step-up well and a higher finish than anybody (pretty much) would have predicted. Beardsley coming back and having an exceptional season (aged 32?). Our third place finish, still never bettered by a promoted side.

Has anyone bought the warm-up kit we’re wearing against Brighton? If so is it decent quality? Love the skyline graphic but no point buying (if I can find it anywhere) if it doesn’t actually look like that.
