It could be our new Rob Lee. He’s better than what we have. Tall, strong, midfield all rounder. Still only 23, 6 full England caps. 8 Prem goals for Palace last season. He’s a Howe type player and if he’s up for it could be an amazing asset for years to come.

Gallagher would be my top pick (possibly available in PL). So would be delighted. However, I expect at least four incoming. Though maybe only three who will be clear first team picks/options for now.

Message to away fans with loud voices, an absence of self-consciousness, and (perhaps…) poor taste in football chants (a description which once fitted me as snugly as a pair of Victorian gent’s goat skin gloves ?). Just had a blinding flash of inspiration/brain fart (you choose…) for an Isak (eeezak remember) song. To the tune of Whey Aye Man (Mark Knopfler): “Whey aye man, Whey aye Isak man. Whey aye man, Whey aye Isak CAN!” on repeat to encourage and celebrate goals.

Maximum points and +7 GD from Man U at H, West Ham and Brentford away. Coming straight after two wins (Wolves H and Forest Away). So 15 points in four weeks, 13 points above 7th place with only 27 points to play for. What a time to hit form. Four more games in April. I know the above reads like random factoids but it is just remarkable really. Guess I am just saying it to remind ourselves how well we’re positioned and what a great season it has been for us; well a great season and half to be fair, given the similar run of form form January 2022. We are definitely in Europe nest season and, most likely, in the pick of the bunch competitions wise.

I know!! Feel for the guy though, he made a couple of great saves (particularly the ‘fingertips’ Maxi one) and all that has been highlighted are the errors. -

You’ve (we’ve) already got 11 strong game-changers helping with that inherent Geordie pessimism ? -

Looked really sharp, cool and collected when he came on. Great to see.

I am officially no longer at the ‘end of my tether’ with yer man Murphy. He was great tonight. Confident and progressive in a first half which saw few shine, even better until he went off in the second. Best of a few good performances in a row. Redemption arc popping-out like a semi-erect rainbow.

What a goal that would have been. Murphy would have deserved it. -

Can’t see us winning at the mo (feels ridiculous to say given how tight we have been this season). -

To be fair, we were sloppy as fuck and disjointed from the start. Murphy the only player who is getting the better of his man. Paquetaaaaa (feel like it needs more a’s) and Rice dominating. -

Second best in every department. Oddest game to have been two nil up. Hope we can settle into it/they don’t equalise this half. -

Hard to say. Never seen us make so many unforced errors so quickly and we’re two up -

Really looking forward to seeing Bruno and Paquetá on opposing teams. -
They beat Wolves 2-0 in their next match, then drew 0-0 away to Chelsea.
-
Seems realistic. Though think Brentford will give you a hard game and often more difficult than it should be against teams fighting against relegation.

There haven’t been any 65 point fourth place finishes in the last 10 years. 4th points total has been (going backwards): Spurs 71, Chelsea 67, Chelsea 66, Spurs 71, Liverpool 75, Liverpool 76, Man City 66, Man United 70, Arsenal 79, Arsenal 73. The average for 4th, over 29 PL seasons, is 68 points. 59 points at the end of April and, given the number of games per month, we’re on track for that.
