Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

A group of people who’ve just survived a trek across the desert who probably think it is a mirage. There’s a metaphor for our transfer activity in there somewhere. -

He is, at least has been, a great player. I’d be delighted if in their position to be able to sign him. He’d only go if he fancied the challenge but he just might.

Was nice of ‘Geordie’ Scalvini to post this 😉 -
What a miserable get. (Not you Mr… though suspect he is auditioning for your name).

Hugo Ekitike, number 9? -
Can’t see a link where is this available? edit: Ah! Visible now.

Just thinking, perhaps the strategy brief he’s been given is make sure we sign all the world’s best forwards. Canny.

Good plan. Drowns out the high pitched whine and quickly gets rid of any nasty Carragher-clemmy which could be launched your way. -

It happens to the vast majority of most teams’ academy players; unfortunately.

There is so much ‘noise’ around this. Complicated theories and frankly daft conclusions presented for clicks as if they are coming from some kind of insider knowledge. What do we know/think is most realistic? 1. It seems too good to be true that (given how we’ve been shackled by PSR and current needs in other positions CB, CM) that we would spend that much on, effectively, another striker. 2. Isak’s new contract has been talked about for a couple of months(?). It hasn’t been signed. 3. Could the Ekitike approach from us be a contingency plan? (In case Alex Isak does do an Andy Cole). 4. If (3) is true then the Scalvini (or other) and Gallagher purchases may be contingent on the profit and flexibility which would come from swapping our current striker for the player who was the original target before we bought him. 5. We have, given limited recent expenditure, some outgoings and sponsorship/other income, more PSR headroom than any of us has imagined and we do simply just want and can afford both Isak and Ekitike. 6. If (5) maybe we will see another forward player leave this or next window. Though given our recent close call (and ‘unwanted’ departures of Minteh and Anderson) I can’t see us chancing balancing the books with future sales. -
Bet you wanted two BMXs for Xmas.

I think we need to re-hash the Shola hokey-cokey song. You know it makes sense. -

Think you’ll find that only golden ones fit the bill. Hopefully you have a (hydrated) NUFC supporting partner, or it is back to stewing in your own filth for you my friend! -
Zero chance of him, without being bound and gagged, being in the dark place.

Sizist and regionalist (and cheap skate) bar stewards!

If you saw them both in training it might give a better sense of why. Though, regardless of training, no doubt Wilson had a lot ‘in the bank’ with Howe to instil confidence that he was the more likely to make things happen.
