  1. I actually agree we weren’t a mess in the sense of players were playing to orders and holding their position. However, in terms of attacking patterns of play and starting positions of wide men we were undoubtedly a mess.
  2. I’m sure he would disagree with that part.
  3. I’d have spent 80 if it meant we weren’t stuck with Murphy as first choice on the right. It was a priority position and we had the funds to make sure it was upgraded.
  4. The ID checks rightly or wrongly have fucked our away support. I actually used someone else’s ticket on Sunday but not many would rightly risk that these days and the lads who ran buses with multiple tickets for the young lads to attend has died on its arse. It’s become a very middle class and ageing away end to put it politely. Would rather go back to the days of someone pissing down the back of my leg in the Darwen End than what it’s becoming.
  5. No idea if this is true but we were linked heavily during the summer. I’m not a fan of tippy tappy football but playing a 4-3-3 I find it hard to believe we can’t have at least one wide forward with technical ability who might not be the best tracking back. We were crying out for someone with a bit of unpredictably in the final third this summer. To still be thinking Jacob Murphy is our best option after spending 200 million in the summer is criminal.
  6. Aye it was no bear pit considering it was their cup final.
  7. Give him to the end of the season for me and hopefully we’ll find our next level manager. We were lucky to beat Wolves and Burnley at home this season the writings on the wall. Someone mentioned Ashworth earlier and it’s spot on the transfer policy went to shit once he left.
  8. It’s pretty clear we don’t spend much time training with the ball, maybe it’s a reason it’s gone stale and players look sick as fuck. Our attacking play is solely based on the wide players creating, we appear to have adopted the Mourinho approach of flogging our wingers as back up fullbacks, particularly away from home. There’s a reason we didn’t sign a Trincao, or the Monaco lad in the summer to play wide. God forbid we ever play with 2 midfielders the defence would be fucked.
  9. Recruitment was next level to our lazy approach in the summer. From yesterdays showing their centre backs, Sadiki, Xhaka and Talbi all start for us. Their most expensive signing in the summer Diarra has been injured and would get a game on our right side no problem when fit going off recent evidence of our wide players. I hate the cunts more than anyone but fair play to them.
  10. I keep reading about him being an upgrade for Longstaff and Willock. Surely to take us to the next level we should have been looking to upgrade Joelinton and relegate him to back up. Is that not how any serious club raises the bottom and top level at the same time?
  11. To put this deal into perspective we were up against Sadiki and Xhaka today who jointly cost less than Ramsey. In fact we’d have had 5 million in change left over.
  12. Yeah Nickson had scouted Ederson and he was the replacement but Eddie chose a different path.
  13. Don’t spoil your trip would be my advice. But Peter Dillon’s on 36th street is the place to go if you must.
  14. Ashworth wanted to get rid of Joelinton due to injury concerns but Mandy granted Howe his wish and give him a new contract. It could be argued the cup final win was justification but let’s be honest long term strategy wise it certainly wasn’t.
  15. They were fucking shite today in their cup final, despite reading about them slapping themselves on the back. They sing about 3 lines of an Elvis song and shout ready to go, absolute tinpot felt like losing to a non-league team today in the cup.
  16. The real worry today was how they just let us come on after they scored and didn’t look in any danger whatsoever of conceding. I suspect had Wolt not put that bullet header away they’d have been a different kettle of fish in last 20 and would have scored anyway. Where miles off and he hasn’t got a clue how to fix it, warning signs were ringing loud and clear last day of the season against Everton, a game we had to win and looked fucking clueless.
  17. Playing with 3 central midfielders it’s tragic that our wingers are being asked to double up to the extent they are.
  18. ‘We weren’t good enough to open them up’ Hardly a one off this season and if any of the local journalists have the bottle they should be asking him why that is after his summer outlay.
  19. Stick to criticising our 2nd top scorer in a team which gives him shit service mate.
  20. He wanted final say as per his embarrassing public strop in Germany after Michell appointment.
  21. Just back in the hoose and can concur away end was flat today, nee windmilling necessary mackem orcs just stood and watched as per. Our fanbase has lost its edge the fact some didn’t think today was everything want shot with shit, how times have changed. On to the match and find it hard to even blame the players today. Both wingers were doubling as full backs and every time they received the ball were in own half. Need to get behind big Nick, it’s to be hoped today doesn’t define his NUFC career. As for the manager you certainly don’t give the mackems the satisfaction of thinking they’ve played a roll in his inevitable demise. The summer transfer window has set the club back massively, he wanted the keys and him and his nephew have fucked us over completely. Great ambassador for the club but unfortunately we don’t go any further now under Eddie Howe. He’s very limited tactically and his run more mantra only gets you so far. Time for change will be in summer and planning should already be going on if Hopkinson’s stated ambition is anything more than a pipe dream.
  22. The last 10 minutes plus injury time will decide the game unless we’ve put in an Everton esque performance and blown them out the water. We need to be street wise again and not run out of legs, whilst credit to them they play hard for 100 minutes on recent evidence.
  23. Not really give up a season ticket of over 20 years in the East Stand. However, still went to games majority being away ones, you support a club through thick and thin, whether the owner is Seymour, McKeag or Ashley, they are transient the club is not.
