The bloke running this public meeting wanted more than just dialogue over their ownership, his views we’re pretty clear in this article. ‘Fans who are interested in KICKING THE SAUDI DICTATORS OUT OF OUR CLUB AND RECLAIMING NUFC – Join us here’ https://true-faith.co.uk/a-mag-calls-for-action-to-resist-the-saudi-takeover/

Needs must if Fraser and ASM are out, he’s far more equipped to play out wide than Willock. -

Used to play effectively on the left for Hoffenhein before being Bruced. -
Aye, the pubs at Lane Ends wouldn’t quite cut it to be honest. It’s an interesting video but I think he’s way off the mark.

Aye, Joelinton wide left and bring in Bruno would be a good option. I thought towards the end of Rafa’s reign Almiron was playing wide left when we started to look good with Rondon and Perez. -

Would be happy with Almiron on the left side for this, hopefully he’s straining at the leash to impress. His time under Benitez on the left side was undoubtedly his best period at the club. -
Good series of articles from the BBC on the best young players in the world. I’m sure we’ve been linked with Wirtz previously. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60353172

Some good craic in this thread for any older lads on here.

More links to Paqueta in this article with Fofana potentially his replacement at Lyon. https://www.newcastleworld.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/newcastle-united-weigh-up-ps30m-striker-swoop-as-bruno-guimaraes-eyes-reunion-with-lyon-teammate-3580578

Not mad just a general view of the situation at the bottom. I’m of the opinion that any point is a good point when you’re fighting relegation, particularly in our situation where our points per game is just about where we need it to be. Happy to be proven mad by Saturday tea time though, just think this will be a lot tougher than people are making out on here. -
Possible alternative striker target for the summer from the BBC gossip page. Arsenal, Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan are eyeing a move for Lille and Canada forward Jonathan David, 22. (TuttoMercatoWeb - in Italian)

It’s maybe not what Eriksen will do directly in this game, but the fan fair it will create. It will undoubtedly give their fans and players a lift. Tough one to call this, would happily take a point now and hopefully follow up with win against Brighton. -
My shopping list for the summer currently providing we stay up, with some options in different positions. Basically 5 to go straight in to strengthen and a couple of youngsters with potential. CB Botman / Salisu / Carlos AM Paqueta / Raphina FWD Nunez / Isak DM Phillips / Haidara / Kamara LB Targett Carvalho / Brennan Johnson

Hopefully he can help you put the mackems to the sword home and away next season. -
Fucking hell what a shit hole and bunch of backward cunts. Feel blessed to have been born on Tyneside and brought up black and white after watching that.

His attempt leading to 4th goal is a bit special. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/18940/12545927/stevenage-0-4-bristol-rovers-visitors-continue-play-off-push-with-emphatic-win-at-league-two-strugglers -
Appreciate it’s not everyone’s favourite option but I like this site a lot. Massive potential to build something special there.

It could look great next to the river and with new infrastructure built around it. It would be a spectacular sight for people arriving via train over the bridge and if we incorporated a big glass window behind one end, similar to some of these American stadiums you would have a stunning view of the bridges from inside the stadium. This is my preferred choice of site, but whether there’s enough land I don’t know.

5-3-2 formation on the way with that ASM news. -
I’ve never seen anyone say Leazes Terrace should be demolished to be fair. The ideal scenario would be a land swap, with the stadium at Castle Leazes, then the current site turned into a park and Leazes Terrace opened up with views over park. There’s drawings of this and Leazes Terrace is massively improved as a result.

Good article about how clubs are looking to expand or increase match day income. Even with our wealthy backers we need to consider FFP to compete. The mission statement from our new owners appears to be about being the best, unfortunately nothing about staying at an undeveloped St James ties in with that vision. I’ve got no doubt there’ll be many like you who don’t want to move, but a new stadium at Castle Leazes, or the arena site with maybe a big stand behind the goal like Spurs have would be pretty spectacular and may even have a better atmosphere if built well. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-10234693/Chelsea-Liverpool-City-Man-Uniteds-matchday-income-revealed-does-club-make.html

Aye because they’re struggling to fill it. They do have tentative plans to extend the other end behind the goal at some point.

It’s not about dick swinging, its about giving every fan young and old, who’s waited decades to finally see a competitive club having the chance to see matches in the flesh. You’d have a situation where young kids coming through could probably only attend meaningless cup ties, without much hope of ever seeing the big games. Who’s to say that lot down the road don’t pick up in 5 years time and kids in divided areas can actually get to see a live game by going there. As someone else correctly said earlier the average age of the match day crowd was growing older by the season under Keegan. It’s not healthy to lock out future generations, which will undoubtedly happen if we stay at an undeveloped St James. History is great but looking after the future is more important. This club has been weighed down by an unambitious owner for 14 years, the last thing we need is unambitious fans holding us back when our time has finally arrived.
