  1. You are a mad man there isn’t a chance Staveley & Ruebens will buy the club without PIF if they wanted to they’d have done so by now You’re absolutely wrong Staveley attempted to buy the club in the May prior and thought she could. This was an attempt to keep Benitez before he left, the Saudi’s only came on board in the November. She will own the club regardless. The price will be at a reduced level and I’ll gladly accept you’re apology in a couple of months when i’m right. She had backers then too wasn’t just her and ruebens. f*** all apology due Did she who were they ? That’s guesswork on you’re part I’m afraid. We’ll both know who’ll be right in a few months and that will be enough for me ? Can’t find the interview with caulkin after she provided proof of 3 bids but I’m sure (but maybe wrong) it said she had investors and in subsequent caulkin articles he mentions investors. At no point was she buying the club herself I’ll help you out the initial attempt had the backing of Chinese investors, however in the May when Rafa left it’s unknown where the funding was coming from. She’s keen to have Saudi backing as it takes us to next level, however she was happy to go ahead in the May if it had gone ahead. Which makes you’re argument redundant. So if you’re going to attempt to call people out, you really need to know you’re facts. Total guesswork she doesn’t have the money to do it herself. You are the most deluded poster I’ve ever seen. I’ll make it simple for you. It didn’t go ahead in May because it was never going to because she didn’t have the backing I have more reasoned discussions with my 10 year old Wrong she ideally wants serious wealth behind it to take us to the next level. PCP are basically an investment fund and she absolutely could go ahead and do a leveraged buy out akin to Burnley. She clearly doesn’t want to do that man. Do you seriously think if we get relegated she’ll try and buy us herself with investment from the Ruebens? So deluded. As you say she wants backers why would that suddenly change if we get relegated? No ideally she doesn’t want to do that, but that’s what she’ll do with the intention of running it as a sustainable business. Her first attempt to buy the club was basically her, Rueben’s, Chinese backing and sovereign wealth. Her company already hold a number of investment portfolios whereby sovereign wealth funds have holdings. PCP don’t necessarily need to have 1 major backer to enable deal to happen. As I said previously though she believes ideally you need major money to be able to compete, hence getting the Saudis on board. She will buy the club with a view to running it sustainably and hopefully getting PIF back involved once promoted. Keep going with the insults though I’m enjoying this ?

  6. Not true this is his last chance to get 340 million and he knows it, he will cut his losses if we go down this time. He had to put 30 million in last time we went down and it will be far greater this time due to covid. It’s simply not happening a heavily incentivised deal will be struck.
  7. Absolute negativity in the other thread and I’ll remind people of this paragraph from Caulkin’s recent article. Absolutely nothing has changed if we stay up and win arbitration PIF will be involved. If the worst case happens, I’m absolutely now convinced Staveley and Rueben’s will assume control. Ashley is done with the club now and this is the reason he is loathe to spend anything on replacing Bruce. However, should all go wrong this week on the pitch the bullet will be fired. Ashley is spending millions on legal fees and make no mistake will move to protect his investment in next week should he need to. From athletic ‘Far from being put off, they say, pushing through the deal is now a matter of national pride to PIF. “They want to keep their distance until it can be resolved,” one source says. “They’re not going to waste time on it unless it can be done. But if the Premier League think they’ve given up, they’re wrong.’
  8. That’s simply untrue if we stay up and test is passed it will include Saudi’s.
  9. It wouldn't be nowhere near like what it was back then though. Times have changed, and so has your average NUFC fan. Certainly has you wouldn’t get a convoy of lads in transit vans piling down the motorways these days. Our away support was mental, used to be buzzing all week in the lead up to an away day.
  10. If memory serves me correctly i’m sure Hall and co got a fans escort from the station to the ground that day.
  11. You're right this is brain dead twitter s***. Never say never Duncan Castles must have heard a whisper from somewhere. It’s Newcastle United rule nothing out. So if that's correct then close this thread as he also said the Saudis are not in for the club anymore. He used the word ‘unlikely’ who’s to say he’s not right though. However, there’s so much contradictory info at the minute and I would find it hard to believe Ashley’s spending all this money on legal fees if he hadn’t had guarantees.
  12. This gives us hope though from Ryders article tonight and certainly explains another reason Ashley is keen to sell to Saudi’s. In the worst case scenario of relegation there maybe sweeteners that may encourage Ashley to drop his price to a level where a deal, possibly staggered payments could be struck to still sell. From Ryder ‘We have learned that Ashley is currently in the United Arab Emirates and is believed to be exploring business opportunities, meeting with some high profile figures in the Middle East in recent times’.
  13. Fuckin hell he’s the biggest screwball on twitter man he’s probably replying to himself there Nah you’re wrong that Oscar lad has been on Wraiths show before. It maybe bollocks but it’s not the same person.

  15. It’s Burnsie put it in the brain dead twitter thread. Yeah yeah yeah, but got to admit Ashley approaching Rafa if true has to be at the behest of new owners.
  16. What does "neg, arb, comp" mean? I'm assuming arb means arbitration. Negotiations possibly ? I wasn’t sure on that either.
  17. It shouldn’t be rocket science for a competent manager to find a formation with the players we have. In my eyes the problems are glaring, if you play 2 in the centre then you can’t play Shelvey. In fact I’d argue Shelvey is the major problem at present, in the modern game he is redundant. A five at the back with Haydon and Willock centrally would work. If we’re playing 4 at the back it’s a straight forward 4-3-3 similar to Liverpool with Gayle in the centre and a combination of Either Fraser/St Max/Almiron either side. Obviously Bruce is the thickest least competent manager I’ve ever known in my lifetime, we can only hope Jones sees this and is reporting back to Graham Carr already that the 3 Steve’s are ducking clueless and need pedalled.
  18. I’m liking Keith’s positivity here, a nice positive way to start the day takeover fans. Not a disastrous result last night either as it also keeps Burnley in the mix, c mon you greasy chip butties this Saturday. Last chance for Fulham i’d suggest, fail to win that and the 3rd percentage will be 100 for me. /https://twitter.com/NCSL1892/status/1362193850425606147?s=20
  19. Another twitter itk from London who works or worked in the city, tends to use a boxing analogy to describe the current state of play. I think his latest tweet had us in the 12th round. That account has been proved in talking utter s*** and hasn't been a source of correct information at all. Its not an itk account at all, its bollocks. There's a big difference between taking a positive outlook on things and taking the word of anonymous bullshit twitter accounts. Thats what sickens people. The wallet inspector would have a field day with some folk on here. You may well be right, but why come in here and s*** on those who peer into the thread for a bit of light hearted info (even if it isn’t factually accurate). Put your hatred of us in the other thread where it can be debated properly. Because there's a big difference between taking a positive spin on things (all well and good for those inclined) and relaying blatant misinformation. The original post asked who they were, its not fair to describe them as an 'ITK' who 'works in the city'. I'm not having a pop at those who are positive and use this thread for light hearted information, I do myself but there's a line between that and flat out lies like. As far as I can see he give some duff info regarding the Man U sponsorship deal delaying things at one point. He may well be a bull shitter but in my judgment his timeline does not suggest that. Who’s to say he doesn’t have contacts down there that relay stuff. I certainly won’t be censored by what you consider reliable or not. Point out all you like but as a fan base the majority of us have the intelligence to separate the craic from reliable info.

We’re all sensible enough to decipher what we consider bollocks or not, I’d suggest if it sickens you don’t read it ?
  21. I don’t think anyone can answer that for definite, certainly Mark Douglas believes they see it as a long term investment and would still want to do deal. This segment is from the recent Athletic article by Caulkin on the subject - ‘There is growing concern about the team’s performance in the Premier League. Without a win in 10 matches in all competitions, they sit 16th in the table, seven points above the bottom three. There have been discussions about Bruce; last season, the team’s better-than-expected results bought the consortium (theoretical) scope for reflection. They had nobody lined up to replace the head coach on day one and were grateful for the results he oversaw. This time, it is different. The sudden availability of Benitez, Newcastle’s former manager, would naturally be of interest to Staveley, who put the Spaniard front and centre of her first bid for the club, but there is also acceptance that the 60-year-old is unlikely to be out of work for long. Timing, as always, is key. Timing, as always, is an enemy. Does the threat of relegation jeopardise the deal? “No,” a source says, although it would be “a serious pain in the arse,” particularly at a financially-difficult moment when staying in the division is more important than ever. Newcastle are still seen as the “right club”. But what if the takeover is not completed by the end of the season and they still go down? That becomes more problematic. Perhaps interest would remain but it would have to be at a different price, a Championship price’.

  23. I enjoy your positivity WM but is this update... that there is no update? Plus I take what they say with a pinch of salt. They claim to know but there's nothing of any substance in anything they say. Anyone on here, using information picked up online, could come up with similar vague comments like they are. Who knows robster might be putting 2 + 2 together and getting 5, but I find this lad alongside Ryan Maine far more interesting than any itk’s from up here. They’ve got absolutely no connection to us and they don’t appear to be wind up merchants. Also it’s worth remembering Luke Edwards mentioned about the deal being restructured a while back, however Kennedy is adamant this is not happening and PIF want in through the front door. I’ve heard various things which I have no idea if are true or not, but it’s not beyond the realms they’re cooking up some Man City style ownership model to get round the situation. It maybe a combination of Bein being restored and maybe some tweaking of the ownership structure are going on to facilitate it being accepted. Nick De Marco appears very much in the school of finding a settlement and his strength is knowing what is required to get the deal through. There’s certainly a reason why the arbitration hearing hasn’t yet begun and I think it’s now gone beyond just choosing the 3rd panel member.
  24. The hearing hasn’t begun or if it has they’re keeping it well under wraps.
  25. Yeah 100% even though Dubravka can be partial to the odd howler, he commands the area, is more vocal and his distribution is far better. Unfortunately Bruce won’t have realised any of these factors and will not want to rock the boat with one of the English lads. Basically he’s on the bench until Darlow hoys the ball into the back of his own net or is injured.
