  1. Bollocks it’s bang on support is shit.
  2. Ground is made up of 90% customers and 10% supporters who want to get behind the team sad state of affairs. We’ve literally apart from wor flags got zero supporter culture anymore, I’d say at most PL grounds including top 6 large swathes stand throughout the match, its way to much effort for our lot who just want to turn up take a few pics, eat some shit food and run back and forward to the bog. Support was finished for good in Ashley years and won’t ever recover now.
  3. The whole starting midfield tonight are poor technically in possession, don’t think our wide players are particularly creative, or composed, needs a real change in philosophy from Howe on the type of player he wants. The fact we wanted Elanga in the summer before even getting into the fee they wanted rang alarm bells for me, just more of the same all pace and power with no craft.
  4. Not great we just look such a poor footballing team unless where pressing at 100mph.
  5. The arena site would be spectacular with bridges as back drop and coming into city via train would be some sight.
  6. Some context here and an indication of the ambitious nature of the plans if Edwards figures are correct. Bernabeu redevelopment cost 1 billion which would suggest a full stadium upgrade including the Milburn and Leazes. Spurs new stadium cost 1 billion with London prices and think Everton’s new build has escalated to circa 750 million. If 2 to 3 billion is being quoted for a new stadium, I think where talking Sofi/Mercedes Benz stadium level and something which would trump anything in this country by some way.
  7. Yeah where not exactly creating loads of chances and have our main striker out, think it might be a toil the way we’ve been playing, unless we suddenly click after Saturdays improvement.
  8. Someone pointed out we’d sold out and funnily enough the thread died.
  9. Was great the 1st season it was built after we got promoted, probably declined every year since but had its moments, never recovered after the current extension which is why any redevelopment can’t just be a mirror image at the Gallowgate End.
  10. Always is everytime I’ve had the misfortune of being in there, one look at some of them cunts behind the goal for the penalty explains why, add in they’ve inexplicably stuck corporate seating bang in the middle and the experience is soulless and depressing.
  11. Exact profile of supporter the likes of Silverstone want in the ground unfortunately, wouldn’t even be surprised if they’ve built something into the ballot where postcodes outside the north east get a percentage of tickets.
  12. Absolutely sickening can see me sacking the whole thing off, we’ve gone the same way as Man City and every other top club before we’ve even won owt.

    Marc Guehi

They can have him would actually be dissapointed if we went back in for him now, completely overrated on back of the Euro’s so many flaws to his game.
  14. The bloke who owned the buildings appeared on that Tyneside Life video a few months back claiming he was all behind the club redeveloping SJP, then he sold that slither of land to this other character, turns out there very much in cahoots apparently and looks like their little plan to milk the club is clear for all to see. Couple of little spivs hopefully some rule where the council can step in and make a compulsory purchase order or something.
  15. Everything that’s wrong with football.

    Lewis Hall

He’s nee Jamal Lewis that’s for sure.
  17. Where fucking massive simple as that.
  18. Tyneside is a great place to live particularly the North Side 😉
  19. Need to try and make it physical against Silva and Gundogan tomorrow, give them time and space and they’ll cut us to pieces at the back.
  20. Very much this the fact he sang a song at the Stack and what followed, probably says more about how where all damaged after the Ashley years.
  21. Option 2 could just be a 6k extension of the Gallowgate and like you say costly for minimal financial gain, or it could be a complete Bernabeu style revamp of all 4 stands, if we stay at St James it has to be the latter for me, or think where just settling and certainly not future proofing with state of other stands.
  22. Quite frightening if that lot’s views are taken into account without any wider consultation, in saying that I think it will be lip service and they’ll do what commercially makes sense.
  23. It says the opposite. Clubs expected to be notified of the outcome to the case at their meeting at the Rosewood Hotel in Holborn on Thursday, based on the assumption that the rules allowed it to be shared if both parties agreed. But for now the other 19 clubs remain in the dark, with a relatively straightforward shareholders’ meeting finishing after only two hours.
  24. Hope this originals gear isn’t limited and likely to sell out, might need to be quick off the mark online tomorrow.
  25. I mean if the Chelsea fan says new stadium fair play I’m with her.
