  1. It’s certainly not a leap to draw a conclusion then that though some members may have had concerns about the Saudi’s, ultimately they came to the conclusion that PIF should be allowed to purchase the club no ? I think it would be quite a stretch to say any of those 97% were vehemently opposed to the Saudis buying the club. In fact I would say it would be pretty safe to assume that 3% would be the figure vehemently opposed to it. Which brings me back to the original point of these protesters wanting PIF out of the club, why would anyone of the 97% (the majority of supporters) be supportive ? Nobody is condoning abusing them or dismissing concerns about human rights, but what they want ultimately puts them at odds with the vast majority of the fanbase does it not ?
  2. I read your post clearly. If you are in favour of the takeover going ahead surely by default you’re accepting Ashley going and PIF becoming majority shareholder no ?
  3. Sorry you can’t accuse me of being John Everyman then claim that it’s a basic fact that the NUST vote only was about getting rid of Ashley, it was also clearly badged as approving of the people involved taking over. You again presume that everyone who voted was only interested in getting rid of Ashley at whatever cost. I voted to get rid of Ashley but was also over the moon that people involved would be transformative for the club. Had the vote been around an American hedge fund who we’re going to leverage the club with debt, I might have voted differently.
  4. What he fails to mention is our average that season we nearly went down under Keegan, was bigger than their average that season the daft fucker. I love the way they try and pull up attendances from Pre Taylor report, football was different animal completely then when even Man U got 20k attendances. The fact will always be as you stated above, at the given time in history we have nearly always had far bigger attendances.
  5. Absolute tosh the vote clearly related to also being happy with the consortium involved taking over and certainly isn’t basic fact. You may have voted in the context you mention, however you seem to misjudge the intelligence of your fellow supporters, or just don’t want to accept that the majority don’t have any problems with PIF being majority shareholders.
  6. Come on who’s being John Everyman now ? The vote was clearly in relation to PIF taking over - ‘Our member survey on the matter received almost 3,400 responses and this represents a significant number of Newcastle United fans. The headline figure is a massive 96.7% of those members surveyed have reported they’re in favour of the reported takeover by Amanda Staveley, the Rueben Brothers and the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia’.
  7. Hold on this group have said they want PIF out of the club not that they want to engage the owners in any discussion, my stance is simple i oppose that completely. They are fully entitled to have the moral and world views they like, however I’m not the one going on about educating other people, which is very patronising in my opinion.
  8. There is no divide in the real world mate just with a few conflicted individuals who want to weigh us all down with their moral dilemmas. As for being educated what a load of patronising shite, I’m fully aware of what goes on over there and don’t need some condescending souls taking the moral high ground preaching to me when I go to the match. They don’t want to educate anyone they want the Saudis out of the club, try squaring that off with Tyneside at the minute. Everyone has the right to protest but when fans openly voted in favour of these owners, don’t expect a free ride when your aim is to kick them out. The world is full of protests and counter protests, those of us who fully back PIF’s involvement have every right to question the motives of these individuals and what they are hoping to achieve, which is far more than simply raising awareness as some claim on here.
  9. Think the next CB through the door will be Maxence Lacroix who Southampton nearly signed in summer, perfect partner for Botman long term.
  10. Fucking hell they’re standing with the children of yemen , how about they lobby their club to abandon the trip to Dubai then. Always best to get your own house in order first, of course it’s perfectly plausible the majority don’t realise the UAE is part of the coalition carrying out air strikes. After all they’re just new to this human rights scene since October 21.
  11. The fellas called John Hird claims to be a long time mag and human rights campaigner. I doubt he’s been a regular match goer for years but plenty like that so won’t hold that against him. However, he seems keen to engage with mackems on Twitter including exile, which instantly makes him a cunt in my book.
  12. It’s not a mackem behind the group but the bloke running it seems keen to receive support from anywhere he can. Reminds me a bit of the time Dolly Potter and her chums went to Sunderland home games to get names for her petition against the proposed Castle Leazes Stadium plans. Anyone who engages with these cunts no matter what their cause deserves all the grief heading their way.
  13. They’ve just drawn at home to the league leaders and looked like they could have snatched it towards the end. Will not be easy on their day they can give anyone a game at home.
  14. Gets caught in possession now and again and folk go light. FFS even Bruno gets caught in possession occasionally happens to the best, the lad is a top player and the stats back it up.
  15. Enzo Fernandez is a great example of why we should be scouting the South American market, sold for 10 million in the summer by River Plate and now valued at over 100 million.
  16. Jump up when we score then windmill like fuck used to be the tried and tested, but been a few years since I did it.
  17. They’re practically at the point of condemning the Tyne & Wear derby rivalry to history due to the gap between the clubs being so huge now. Some including exile even hope we’ll join the European Super League just to be shot and not have to think about us anymore. Then you get the real delusional mackem who pretends that they would all have stood up against a Saudi takeover and it would never have been welcomed in chicken town. Undoubtedly more towns will have fallen to their black and white masters over this weekend to increase their pain, this pesky mild weather encouraging folk to wear their gravy stained toon tops out of season in MLF strongholds. Still rather than feel any pity for these cunts it’s always prudent to remember if the boot was on the other foot, they’d be talking of a 60k SOS, taking over the North East and turning Sunderland into the new regional capital with Saudi money. Their meltdown was very predictable but this has been more enjoyable than many of us could ever have envisaged and we still haven’t even won anything yet.
  18. RTG poster Skylon is another exhibit of a lying deluded mackem. They we’re cock a hoop when they got Di Canio the lying cunt and who are they fucking trying to kid that they would have acted any different to having the worlds richest owners. The levels of self delusion and attempt to reinvent themselves is quite staggering. ‘No way would sunderland have went on like you lot (tea towels, saudi picky teas, mass saudi party outside of ground, saudi defence manuals written up, twitter defence of them, lasses converting to Islam, saudi flags everywhere). Ffs, there was hell on when Di canio took over as manager, a bloke just with fascist views, nevermind full blown fascists/genocidal murderers/homophobes/child marrying dictators actually taking over our club and turning it into a saudi franchise’
  19. I think it is a great solution moving the ground slightly, but would never presume that the majority would want that ?
  20. That’s my point the level of demand for tickets currently supports an increase in capacity, not as you suggested that I meant the majority wanted to leave St James, big difference.
  21. Think you’ve misunderstood never said the majority wanted to move from St James read it again.
  22. Why would fans not be angry at a protest to get rid of PIF while the rest of the sporting world happily takes their money ? John Hird gets his way and PIF sell up then what ? Is Saudi Arabia in a better place and does our club benefit ? Everyone has a right to protest but fans need to realise what this blokes ultimate aim is. It’s not to engage with club and try to get them on board, but instead to get rid of PIF. As long as he is up front with that protest away, let’s see what support he gets from NUFC fans. I have a feeling the NUFC against sports washing name will not be a true representation of their group make up though, which would be a little bit disingenuous don’t you think ?
  23. Openly criticising Eddie Howe, wants rid of the clubs best owners in years, friendly with a mackem nut job and engaging in arguments with his so called own fans on Twitter, how not to make friends and influence people.
  24. So when folk have previously joked about moving Leazes Terrace it really wasn’t as outlandish as it sounds.
