I just can’t see us spending upwards of £50m on him. The only way that I see the narrative being written if we do hit the amount needed, is that he is the Isak replacement and then it justifies the crazy fee

Jackson is woefully underrated on here and I don’t get it. Maybe because he plays for a Chelsea and we hate them or he’s a bit of a lunatic sometimes, I dunno. He’s literally the only option we have available to us for a striker that’s ready to go in the league and has clearly got talent and physical qualities that we could build on. We won’t sign Wissa for the ridiculous fee that Brentford want for him no matter how desperate we are.

Exactly this. I really rate Willock when he’s fit and able to have a run of games. But we need players that we can reliably rotate from Wednesday to Sunday

Under £30m and I’d be happy with that. I really don’t think he’s worth more than that right now on the last 18 months of form

When I’ve watched him a few times, he reminds me of when Man City signed Vincent Kompany. Height, pace and strength, but he’s still young and continuing to develop in the role

Good point. I’ve always thought he was an extremely talented player, great pace, movement and work ethic. I think he’s just a bit overzealous sometimes trying to prove a point. If he can learn to control himself then there’s a top player there and someone that would work perfectly for us. There’s no way Chelsea sell him for less than the price of Šeško though
