I think he has shown stubbornness throughout his tenure. Honestly sometimes even a slight upgrade in a player makes a hell of the difference to a team. For all Miggys work rate a player with a right foot and ability to cross or lay the ball off will add another 5 chances per game. It will also stretch other teams full backs knowing we are not just going to pass the ball backwards once we get into the final third

He is an Alpha player and has to get used to being second choice or move on... Actually think a two year contract in Saudi would be ideal for him as he deserves rewards for the effort he put in for us during the Bruce years!

I'm not sure it's lack of trust but more they might offer more than what he wants from his team. It sticks with me what he did to Grealish in the last euros. There was a massive media push for him to start games, he then seemed reluctant to use him. Brought him on at 1.1 in the 70 min. We went 2.1 up and then subbed him off at half time of extra time to bring a defender on. Both Gordon and Palmer both play on the front foot and would maybe push for the second and third... And the media and fans would then be all over it adding to the pressure of the next game
