There were some moments I remember Isak getting nice touches, getting in front of defenders with back to goal and moving it on…but also many many long periods of non-contest when it came to hold up play. Wouldn’t say Wilson was particularly good at hold up play either tbh. Maybe my memory deceives me though!

Poch is looking forward to a World Cup. Maybe he might go there in summer though. Can’t see anyone else proper good moving to them now. Maybe they try Alonso.

Nah he was good last night and has been better in some games recently. Not convinced he’s developing his game here and is wildly inconsistent. I don’t love his style of play at LW but that’s more of a preference

I get your point and not at all massively disagreeing on the idea that we are maybe emotionally invested in Howe due to the cup win. Do feel that the comparison of him with that lot are a low blow mind for a couple reasons… 1. Winning the LC in this modern era is harder for sure. When city started to treat it properly, loads of the top teams followed suit. 2. He’s done this while also qualifying twice for champions league and rescuing us from relegation, with an absolutely stinking squad

Replace with better that should be the motto. Don’t be reactive, we’re going nowhere in the league so an emotional sacking gives us nothing but a headache. By all means look elsewhere for someone that would be better but we need a blueprint for that which we may not have yet. As much of a cunt ashworth was, he maybe was trying to build this stuff. Not sure what our project looks like on the sporting side in a broad sense. Maybe that’s on Howe as he’s had the keys to the castle I don’t know.
