Not at all sure who comes in for those players who can pay what we would ask for. Maybe Man Utd or Chelsea? Bruno maybe to La Liga but not sure either of them want him enough to fork out the dough.

Yeah Almiron did amazing numbers last season. The same kind of numbers Barnes has been doing for seasons. Obviously it’s hypothetical based on fitness etc. but personally I’m picking Barnes over Miggy.

Barnes is debatable sure, but it would be close I reckon. He’s a better player than Miggy imo.

I’d have him out of the side sharp if there was anyone else to replace him like. He needs space to do his best work and that’s created by other players taking big risks and making themselves and the team vulnerable to counter. He’s. Great servant and I love the lad, but he shouldn’t be relied on.

Miggy really only works when the rest of the team are making the space for him, Longstaff making those runs into the channels, Trippier offering width, Bruno in the 8 position, dragging teams around. Otherwise he doesn’t have the chops to beat someone and isn’t really a threat in terms of crossing or passing. We really needed to upgrade RW in summer, looks a mistake to have not done that now.

If there is something going on then I think he needs a break from football to sort it out. He is a fantastic player but he looks troubled.

Same, thought there were numerous examples of good control, holding the ball up, moving it on quickly. Thought the video made his all round game look pretty good tbh

I thought collectively we went into our shells (so did the crowd) after their equaliser, we then started to make mistakes, and then chased the game with increasingly rash play and positional lack of discipline. So that’s what I mean when I am talking about bottling it. To me, their equaliser knocked the stuffing out of us and we looked collectively pretty fragile.

I disagree, but anyway. On the whole I’m very proud of the team in terms of what they have shown in the CL, but these were absolutely there for the taking. Knew we would need another to kill it because we’re so brittle.

We did bottle it, it’s a fair cricitism. Naivety and idiotic play for both goals.

I will be forever grateful I was at the PSG game, and I’m really proud of how we performed with the squad we had, but I am fucking gutted by some of the mistakes. Qualification was there for the taking. We look so fragile at the moment. I can’t describe how absolutely minging this feels. Argh, loving this club again hurts.
