It’s the equivalent of someone saying you should be worried about water damage when the fire brigade put out a house fire.
  5. Count me in. More than happy to contribute some written stuff.

RTG is a case study in online radicalisation. The Mag at work/in the pub/at the shops/on a horse is their Muslim grooming gang. It’s the only explanation. I know loads of Mackems in real life who are sound as fuck. But that place…that place is mental.
  7. More generally our support has lost its collective mind. Some absolute dogshit takes on here, Twitter, pretty much anywhere you care to look.
  8. Doesn’t Wenger love his walks along the Quayside? Surely he’ll park his mission to ruin international football for 9 months to save us.
  9. I don’t get the clamour for Fonseca. He seems to have done a respectable job at Shakhtar and had an ok couple of years at Roma, albeit in difficult circumstances. Am I missing something, or is it just because he looks good in a suit and talks about playing attacking football? If you’re looking at out of work managers from the continent Favre seems a much better option.
  10. Horncastle loves Fonseca. All of his writing on Roma makes mention of how hard done by he was, the injuries etc
  11. Well it would because Zionists and philosemites are utter psychopaths. They’d still be wrong.

  15. That’s the biggest issue we have. Fix that and we’ll be fine, but there are a lot of games between now and January. Could Schar play there alongside Hayden? At least you’d have two deep lying centre mids who can drop in, one of which can actually pick a pass.
  16. I don’t think we can get too wound up by stuff like that. It’s fair.
  17. We’re not going to suddenly become a decent side overnight. We’re lacking confidence, fitness and tactical discipline. When Rafa followed McClaren it took a good month before we looked anything other than complete shit, and we haven’t even appointed the new guy yet. It’s imperative in the short term we don’t get cut adrift. In that context today is ok. We’re going to have to scrape points while we can for a while.
  18. It’s just as much about instructions and tactics as it is personnel. As long as we don’t leave gaps all over the shop we should look a damn sight better.
  19. I don’t like it, but I’m willing to wait until we go a goal down before I flip my lid.
  20. Emery or Favre are probably the best of the realistic names. Martinez would be a terrible appointment. It would backfire horrendously.
  21. https://theathletic.com/2298337/2021/01/25/lampards-chelsea-sacking-tension-with-marina-unhappy-players-and-secret-job-offers/?source=user_shared_article No thanks.
  22. It speaks volumes that the most memorable moment of Lampard’s managerial career is his crying like a bitch when Bielsa sent a spy to Derby’s training ground. He might turn into a good manager, but the sum total of his achievements are a decent twelve months with Derby (matched Rowett’s league finish iirc) and an admirable season at Chelsea when they were under embargo. The minute they started signing players it went tits up. There rumours he was pretty aloof and fell out with a lot of the squad too. He’s not what we need in this current situation.
