  1. Can someone get the full story from The Times? Tried the usual tricks of cancelling loading and using Reader but they’ve got wise to this. Headline runs with “Ashworth error could cost Man Utd millions” which is always pleasant. Loving the fact Rat Cafe haven’t picked up on the fact he’s emailed details of his previous confidential compensation agreement to his prospective employer to use in negotiations against his current employer whose tech and infrastructure he’s sending it from. That’s not anyone’s idea of a professional. Well, maybe a professional arsehole.

That defence is too good for them to drop out of the Top 4. They showed they could fight for both the PL and have a reasonable run in the CL this season, I think they kick on. However…the injury gods were very kind to them, I feel they may have missed their window there. I still see them as City’s main competition next season but hope with clever recruitment we can bridge a chunk of the gap.
  3. Passing it on to try and determine Man Utd’s own compensation payment via baselining it v what we paid Brighton. Exactly what he’s after at arbitration. Hope we pull the rug out on that. And then Brighton and City wade in.

Didn’t realise our turncoat defector shite Ollie Harrison was playing for England too. 4-0.

Hoping for Tino and Leo to be the double act from 2025/26 onwards.
  6. Odd Todd Brohly and Jim Ratshit. The gifts that keep on giving.
  7. A nice notion but City will be bang up for it if Berrada has been breaching his contract. What it boils down to is if they’re doing this, what else are they up to that they haven’t been caught doing yet? Passing over negotiations, clauses, wages, strategy and commercial information? A few laughed it off but Ashworth being at Brailsford’s birthday was a genuine conflict of interest until the compo gets settled.
  8. 33 named, has to come down to 26 I think? Knowing Slothgate he’ll probably lose Trafford, Dunk, Quansah, Wharton, Toney, Eze and AG9. Unfair as the show pony cunts Grealish and Maddison should probably be culled first.
  9. Heard he was 1/5 to get the axe.
  10. For all we give him shit, wouldn’t like to think P-Dawg was in any bother.
  11. He got burned at Bolton too so might be frightened to go outside the comfort zone.
  12. I figured that’s what was happening when they gave him the armband for the day.
  13. I think the next wave are the ones with potential - Sanusi, Sahar, Harrison, Heffernan and Alabi - but some of them could be 3 years away from doing anything meaningful in terms of breaking through.

Comparing apples with oranges. Between the PSR clampdown and shutdown of Related Party Transactions it’s almost a different sport.

I think they’ll be cannibalised for at least one of Olise or Eze this summer.
  16. 292 followers. I’ll wait for Ornstein to confirm, thanks.
  17. I’d see Murphy having a loan at a decent level next season or being trusted like Quansah at Liverpool to step in and step up via European football. Conference League is ideal if City can do Brexit Jim’s gang on Saturday. Quansah did a 16 game loan to Bristol Rovers in League One last year, so the potential trajectory is clear. On Dummett and Ritchie I’d ideally rather so both go but unfortunately PSR handcuffs mean we’ll keep at least one - would probably see Ritchie go or transition to pure coaching staff. I loved his goal v Bournemouth but Dummett helps us more with homegrown requirements.
  18. Great article from the BBC highlighting just how shit Sheffield Utd, Burnley and Luton have been. Record low cumulative points, beating the previous by 10: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/clw0elp1nj2o

This. At this point they’re firmly the backwater hicks and hillbillies we paint them out to be. A perceived average league season for us is equal to their best achievement for half a century, without them having to navigate our injuries, a Champions League campaign and two cup quarter finals. It feels we’re back to the mid 90s where our interest is elsewhere and they remain the bitter ex, or the creepy Baby Reindeer-esque stalker type.
  20. For those that watch La Liga more studiously than me - I noticed the Georgian goalie, let’s call him Marma as can I fuck spell his full name, was captain for them today. Struck me as odd - is he their regular skipper or was it a nice gesture pre-expected departure?

Truly the redemption arc of the season. Thought he was toast, now so excited to see the next season of his development.
