  1. From the moment I heard the Jorginho rumours I've been absolutely against it. However thinking about it a little more overnight there is a scenario where I think a player like him is valuable to our squad. 1. He needs to be a free signing, that lessens the blow slighty. 2. Shelvey would have to have left. Would seem ridiculous to have both of them in our squad when our whole system is based on intensity and pressing. 3. We'd need to be competing in Europe (I'm all for positivity, but it's not guaranteed yet) 4. His wages can't be stretching beyond our current highest earner. I wouldn't be against him coming in as joint highest if that's an absolute deal break but definitely no more. All of these would have to be true for me to be happy to see him signing. Obviously if he does, anything could happen and he may well do fantastic here but I'm sceptical.
  2. Definitely not, don't need them gaining any confidence before the weekend. I get that we don't want Man City picking up points but they are going to regardless, I'd rather Leeds get a thrashing and have to do loads of chasing the ball about.
  3. Forget about a 31yr old Jorginho. I'd much rather a 32yr old Gundogan, who is also out of contract in the summer. That would be a fantastic signing on a free.
  4. Manquillo definitely isn't going anywhere this January. Ritchie is the most likely or perhaps Fraser at a push.
  5. They do have a frantic style that causes teams alot of problems. I'm pretty sure they are the most aggressive pressing side well come up against this season. Longstaff worries me against this lot but other than that I think we've got them beat everywhere on the pitch. Can see us conceeding to a quick counter attack but inevitably a good 3-1 win.
  6. Probably already been said but I really do wish Amazon had more games throughout the year. They are way ahead of Sky and BT in terms of content provided on a matchday. The post match interviews alone are far superior to what the other broadcasters do and they don't rotate the same 4 pundits over and over again.
  7. Livramento would be a great pick up in the Sumner regardless of whether Southminster go down or not. He's been injured since April and still only 20 so who knows how that'll affect his career.
  8. 100% would choose Kovacic every day. I think that is also Potters viewpoint hence why Jorghino is being touted on the market.
  9. Midfield 3 of Joelinton, Bruno and Maddison is definitely viable. Joelinton and Bruno both cover enough ground to make up for any lack of defensive capability from Maddison and If you play him in the RCM position you also have Almiron on that side to track back and help him out.
  10. I'm not saying this is what I want....but if nothing else, a contract extension of 2 years makes absolute sense financially because that keeps his price high for the next season or so if we do want to part ways with him. This is all assuming he continues some essence of the form he's had this season.
  11. I reckon he's got some anger in him after the World Cup he (and Brazil) had. Seems to be channelling it in the right way thankfully! Outstanding today against a fairly decent oppostion midfield.
  12. Martin Terrier from Rennes would still be my first choice for a January signing. Stats this season have been very good (8 goals, 3 assists in 14 games) and can genuinely play anywhere across the front 3 very well. Seems exactly what we need, however Thuram is very similar in alot of ways so I wouldn't be displeased with signing him.
  13. Definitely Southamptons time to go. Everton are surely heading down also. And I'd like Bournemouth to go as well cos that Keiffer Moore bloke is a cunt.
  14. Toughest decsion in this game is going to be who starts LW and LCM. ASM fitness will be a big part of that choice obviously. Joelinton LW and Willock LCM would be my guess right now. Pope Tripps - Schar - Botman - Burn Longstaff - Bruno - Willock Almiron - Wilson - Joelinton
  15. What writing are you talking about? He started the first four league games and played 90mins in three of them (74mins in the other). The only reason he didn't continue in the team was because he then got injured.
  16. Anyone at home I would be content with. Charlton, Southampton or Forrest ideally.
  17. Three League games so far this season that could've ended very differently if ASM had been playing. Palace 0-0 Bournemouth 1-1 Man Utd 0-0 Not saying we'd have won all three with him playing, but just an extra 2 points from any of them would've been huge.
  18. Hard one to judge us on really because Rayo have been very poor. Dragged us down to their level a little. Botman giving the ball away about 4/5 times doesn't help and the fact Wood comes so very very deep all the time.
  19. I really thought Brazil would win this comfortably. Glad to be proven wrong, this is much more interesting.

    The Round of 16

Is this French team the best team Southgate has had to face in his entire England career? I think it just well may be. Whatever happens its going to be an interesting game and hopefully an exciting one.
  21. Been a very good game this. Serbia derserve to win but they don't seem like the almighty dark horses some seem to think.

    FIFA World Cup

Personally I'm enjoying it all so far. Helped by the England win obviously but I am genuinely looking forward to all four of the games on TV each day!
