Arsenal are only still going in the CL as they’ve let the league go. A reminder for next season - and Villa even refreshed their squad in January

If Barnes had been sold when Gordon was doing well (as many had called for) probably wouldn’t have won a trophy and be in with such a good chance of CL. LW isn’t even fairly well stocked. Willock isn’t really a genuine option and Joelinton can’t be moved without weakening the midfield

With Chelsea it’s very simple, beat them at home and will finish above them. Lose that game and they finish ahead. I don’t expect Chelsea to beat Liverpool but they will beat Man Utd, everyone does.

For whatever reason he was straight into the bomb squad - along with Gayle, Hendrick etc. He has had no future at the club since Howe joined. Even Fraser was given a crack and Hayden wasn’t, to me they suggests he’s nowhere near what the club need.

Cunha actually cares about winning and playing well, in that sense he’d be a great signing for Man Utd. That would take them up to 2 players who actually care (Fernandes the other)

Man City and Liverpool had some superb games a few years ago when both were right on it. On the pressing, it is true that Burn and Pope can be pressured, and Schar to a less extent. However it’s also true if you press them really high up, and Burn has to give it to Trippier or Tino in the corners then 10 seconds later Tonali or Bruno can be on the turn with the ball at their feet and that press has left bags of space in behind for Murphy, Barnes and Isak to play with. Undoubtedly a weakness but if teams aren’t careful it can be flipped.

Not surprised Spurs won as Frankfurt are pretty average - Spurs are the only team left in who I think could beat Man Utd in a final so unless Man Utd go out it’s good they hang in. I realise it’s pretty insane to put any sort of faith in Tottenham Hotspur but needs must.

Losing Longstaff in the summer means another CM has got to come in. Given Wilson also needs replacing and Willock is in a similar place to Longstaff it’s really going to stretch the budgets I don’t think it’s feasible for both Willock and Longstaff to leave in the summer, too much risk in losing both, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Longstaff sees out his contract, but we shall see.

Bit disappointed he did score, as it was the fifth goal and if he hadn’t he’d have been raging going into Villa away, he hates not scoring

Villa will really target this game as they have City away on Tuesday and the cup semi final on Saturday after. Losing both league games could finish off their CL hopes, losing the cup semi ends any hopes of a trophy. I reckon they’ll go all in on Saturday and then play the B team (which beat Forest away so no pushovers) at City. I think this will be the toughest game left this season, but a win will finish off Villa as a CL rival - fantastic opportunity
