  1. Some of you have completely lost your heads. Consider the meltdown in the transfer thread - Isak probably has a similar view regarding the summer business. Show him the club can compete by acting in the transfer market, give him a better contract and provide an exit clause and this can be sorted sensibly.
  2. How has Rashford managed to sign for Barca?
  3. If City are after a £60m keeper, unless Ortega is also off, Trafford won’t join them, he will want first team football to get the England spot for the WC. Where city could fuck things over is setting a totally different and higher wage and fee expectation.
  4. My main concern with Isak wouldn’t really be Liverpool, they moved on quite quickly, it would be if someone else had now emerged.
  5. Guess it depends on the competition…
  6. It’s more money!!! Spend more pay on him then it’s less can spend everywhere else. The club have to be commercially minded. There will be a number they won’t go above for him as at that point they don’t view it as worthwhile
  7. What’s all this panic for? Isak is on a long term contract. If Ekitike doesn’t sign (and he has done it before!) then the big news is the club are going to spend big on a striker this summer - great news. If Ekitike does sign happy days. Its Liverpool who have shanked things, had they been patient and Etikite had already signed it could have created a conundrum, but the club can’t sell the only striker on the books.
  8. The Twitter gimps have noticed Trafford wasn’t in the Burnley photos, but haven’t twigged that because he had a longer break due to international duty. Until someone with actual sources has an update I’ll ignore. But now if anything happens in the next week the gimps will all claim they heard it first, that’s the way of the ITKers
  9. Agree but that’s because his huge strengths are out of possession; his pressing, physicality, intensity and quick transitions, and the better the opponent the more time spent out of possession. However where the side has got to improve next season to progress is with the ball against midtable sides, and Joe offers much less in those games. The side needs more variation and more options
  10. Gordon had just played too much football over the past 2 seasons by the end of the year, as he had an international tournament in summer 2024 and 2023. Nobody was whinging about him in the Arsenal semi finals
  11. I suspect Forest agreed a fee and allowed him to travel for a medical as a cunning feint. Really that jet is to collect Isak and take him to the city ground
  12. I just remember that home game against Brighton in 2020 where he was shredded over and over. His positioning was shocking, and for a full back that is a fatal flaw. Perhaps if he’d had better coaching after he was signed he might have done ok.

Getting CL and the club World Cup have probably sorted them for another season Had they missed out on the CL it could have got interesting, but I think they’ll be fine this year at least
  14. Nice chap, terrible signing, probably the worst fullback I’ve seen play, and there’s a lot of competition for that honour. His next contract elsewhere will be at best a tenth of that deal, total drain on the clubs resources for zero contribution. Just Hayden to go now from the bomb squad.

If Chelsea sign Gittens too that he got to be times up for Neto, Madueke or a few of their youngsters, The club should also look at what opportunities this transfer creates - is there someone who is now unsettled to go for
  16. Not sure why the wages get mentioned as a reason for the lower fees. Not like Milan or Lyon said to City oh he’s asking for a big contract, so we’ll knock a few quid off the transfer fee for you.
  17. Taking a risk in terms on injury recovery at CB is quite shrewd given Burn and Schar have came off good seasons, Botman should be ready and Lascelles available for emergency cover. If this guy comes in and has perfect fitness it’s a steal, and if he’s a crock, well another CB is already needed next summer anyway and that purchases becomes a starter. Unlike at ST, RW and arguably CM if this transfer bombs it can be managed Im in! Send the plane
  18. If he’d joined Newcastle and then Madrid had came in the transfer probably would have happened, but he’d surely have accepted a higher and more limited clause from NUFC as he’d have been playing at a higher level. The offer is now CL football, even the most ambitious players will recognise this is a club you can do well at. And personally I’m fine with players bought for £25m having £100m Real Madrid clauses in their contracts
  19. Shame about Frank, he could do well, one of the reasons I was pleased Spurs won the final was that Ange might stay and wreck another PL season. Feel cheated that he’s gone!
  20. I find it very funny, him speaking Spanish is genuine lols But if a Newcastle player did it and joined say Liverpool or Man City, let’s be honest fans would be going absolutely bananas
  21. Hall had to learn a new position. I hope Trafford isn’t being bought as the second striker…
  22. Pope has 1 year left? If Trafford joins Pope will be sold, that’s what being good sellers means
  23. Grealish, like Sancho, would be good at the right price, but due to their current salaries there’s zero chance they come for the right price. At £10m and 80k pw in wages it would be a good deal. But as they’re both on 300k pw they’d never go for it, their accountants would break their legs on the way to the medical.

    João Pedro

I’d prefer this guy for his first name alone
  25. Vlach is likely unsellable as he’ll have been paid over the odds to do the deal last year. And selling him for peanuts triggers a PSR loss on the books. Best can hope for there is a loan with a bit of fee income
